Juventus vs Pescara

Olimpic Stadium, Turin

On Saturday it’s Juventus - Pescara
Following their draw with Napoli, the Bianconeri return to the Olimpico on Saturday with their eyes firmly fixed on top spot. Currently lying third from bottom and still looking for their first championship win of the season, Pescara provide the day’s opposition. The men from Abruzzo, who began their campaign with a one point penalty, have already made a change at the helm this term; after the sixth round of games, and a fourth defeat of the season at the hands of Modena, the club parted company with coach Ballardini, appointing Aldo Ammazzalorso in his place.
Despite the quality of their squad, Pescara have had trouble getting things going early on in the season. Their star man is without a doubt Marco Ferrante. Full of running, the former Torino forward is an old pro in the box and can strike home when least expected. Rigoni - formerly of Juventus - is another interesting player, a dangerous prospect either behind the front two or out on the left wing in the 4-4-2 favoured by Ballardini. The pick of the midfield is Moscardi, a strong player who shows quality in both defence and attack, while Gonella and Delli Carri - another ex-Torino man - are the shining lights in defence, along with De Martis at left back.
It’s easy to predict the pattern of the game: Pescara will look to give away as little space as possible, while attempting to hit Juventus on the break. The Bianconeri will look to impose their game early on, with the added advantage of playing on home soil: Juventus have won all of their games so far at the Olimpico and Saturday will be no different as they look to continue their impressive run.
