hmm yea worth a try..but it would be a risk with a better team...dont trust the central defence enough to play with only 1 DM

Didier calms tense Del Piero Sunday 22 October, 2006

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Alessandro Del Piero is unhappy at his substitution and inability to hit the 200-goal mark, but Didier Deschamps tried to reassure the Juventus hero.

Having suffered in silence for the past two years under Fabio Capello, which saw him regularly replaced or even left on the bench, Alex hoped he would no longer face the same indignities in Serie B.

However, on Saturday he was substituted again during the 1-0 win away to Triestina and was visibly upset, going straight down the players’ tunnel rather than sit on the sidelines with his teammates.

“He just didn’t want to catch a chill,” joked Deschamps. “He’s going through a difficult time right now. We cannot doubt his quality, but it’s not easy to ignore the outside pressure.”

The media has been eagerly-awaiting his 200th goal in a Juventus jersey, but since hitting 199 he hasn’t been able to break through and some believe it is a psychological issue.

“The less he thinks about that goal, the sooner it will arrive,” assured the Coach. “Ale will free himself of this situation. As for the substitution, I try to make the best decisions for the good of the team.”

. However, we have heard nothing as to when Tudor, Zebina, & Legro will be fit to play again. Perhaps we will have to field Piccolo & Urbano or use them as subs.

What do you think guys?

Legro is fit and was on bench Vs Triestina.

Zebina will be fit for Frosinone.

Piccolo and Urbano?!:disagree: NO, please!!!

I dont give a sh** about Del Piero 200th goal!

It only brought misery to our team! Everyone is nervous and in a bad mood because od him and his stupid 200th goal. He will score it sooner or later.

You have no idea how Juve played bad this Saturday. I was on the game and that is not a shadow of Juve anymore. If we continue to play this way, I am worried Juve will be stuck in Serie B. I mean, we are letting average Serie B teams to play better than us!

Juventus is too soft for Serie B, in this league you have to fight for every ball!

And BTW. Triestina had a regular goal disallowed, so practically only luck was on our side!

I dont know what is wrong we started to play good and then after the International break we are playing awful!

Hopefully our team is gonna wake up on this match!

I have a feeling Del Piero will score on Saturday against Frosinone in front of thousands of Juventini... Once he has scored that magical goal his performance will improve again.

The performances will improve with time. The more matches they play together the better they will play. Boumsong, for example, needs time to learn the Italian language and get familiar with his teammates on the pitch. Despite a good start from Zanetti he too will only become better and better for every game he plays.

The goal is to achieve promotion to Serie A. And I feel confident we will do so by earning the points needed and in doing so improving our performances game by game!

Pray to God for wins and good performances and have faith in Juventus and we will soon be back where we belong again!

well we have enormous quality especially over some teams like Triestina. So until we play the more quality sides in serieB.

imo the most important thing is that we get a stable team and we dont have that which is very alarming. The backline should be a rock against everyone.
We will always score, but the question is whether we will conceed ?

We should be more agressive, a lot more agressive.

We have the technical superiority over other teams, but thats not the most important in Serie B.

I watched Triestina game(was very close to the pitch;) ) and I can tell you they pushed us hard. I ve never seen Juve defending against so average team.

Instead od panicly defending, we should have created a number of chances and finish them, but they didnt gave us any space in the midfield and upfront.

In the defense Kovac and Chiellini looked poor, Boumsong was actually the best defender that day. Birindelli was also pretty good.
