Juventus-Arezzo closes out 2006

Still stricken by the loss of Alessio and Riccardo, Juventus return to the Stadio Olimpico one week on from that accursed day, Friday 15th December. To speak about football, formations, tactics and tacticians at a time like this isn’t easy, but it’s the right thing to do, for any discussion of Juventus is also a discussion of our two boys and their greatest passion.

Friday’s game is a championship first, a 'top vs. bottom’ clash between the Bianconeri, who lie first in the overall standings, and the Tuscans who, weighed down by a six point penalty, have so far been unable to free themselves from the foot of the table. Their first and only away win this season came on their most recent trip, a 1-0 at Hellas Verona which handed them three particularly precious points against fellow relegation candidates. On that occasion it was Floro Flores who bagged the winning goal, seconds from the final whistle. With the exception of their victory in Verona, the Tuscans have won just once this term, a resounding 4-1 defeat of Pescara to add to their collection of six draws (the last coming three days ago at home to Crotone). Their 17 goals conceded would easily be good enough for a comfortable mid-table position were it not for a sterile attack which has curbed their ambitions: Arezzo have scored just seven goals this season, the second worst total in the championship. As one might expect, Sarri’s outfit will be looking to make the most of their defensive qualities at the Olimpico on Friday, keeping things tight at the back and resting their hopes on the counter-attack. Conversely, Juventus will be looking to grab a goal early on, with a full complement of strikers at their disposal: Del Piero and Trezeguet are both back after lengthy absences and Zalayeta is on the top of his game after sealing the winner at Bologna on Tuesday night. That goal handed victory to the Bianconeri over a direct promotion rival and saw them regain top spot, shoulder to shoulder with Napoli, Genoa and Ulivieri’s vanquished men.

Who is The Referee??

He is Domenico Celi...

He is a new referee to Serie A & Serie B...

He was the referee for three matches until now in Serie B:

Rimini – Piacenza

Genoa - Spezia

Napoli - Mantova

And he started his career in Serie A on the third of this December in Torino-Empoli match where Torino won 1-0...

Everybody in Italy said that it was a bad debut for the referee as he canceled along with the linesman a very correct goal for Empoli. The goal was not awarded even though television replays later showed that the ball was clearly over the line...

So they created Arezzo in honour of our Juve , well we must squash them in honour for ourself and show Serie B they should fear us. I'm hoping for a 3-0 victory but i could be 1-0 again but as long us we keep our record and Win.
Forza Juve!

LOL Yeah, they are pathetic, they already sacked Antonio Conte. :toast:

Anyway, as bad as they are, they are not conceding much, and we are not scoring much :D so it won´t be such a easy game as people think, they will defend with 10 players. :D

Still, if we don´t win by more than 1-0 I will personally apply myself for Juventus Coach :D

We need something like this for them:

GK Buffon
DR Zebina
DL Balza
DC Kovač
DC Chiellini
MR Bojinov
ML Guzman
MC Zanetti
MC Paro
FC Trezeguet/Bojinov
FC Del Piero/Palladino
I happened to notice that Boumsong is missing? Is he a bad player or something? :D

I started to believe some members here since they follow Juventus more than I do and decided to leave him out of first 11, though I think DD will rather kill himself before he leaves Boumsong on the bench.

    Exactly, my prediction...

    Anyway,

Absent Players Because of Injury: Kovac, Tudor, Giannichedda, Camoranesi, Belardi, Legrottaglie & Marchionni...

Absent Players Because of Suspension: Nedved...

Some journalists, with smiles on their faces, actually said "Oh, well, it was Torino's 100th anniversary. A present was in order". :wallbang:

Ah, the coherence of some people.:disagree:
But I still have faith: sooner or later they might realize that linesmen are only humans, after all :agree:

Then they don't know how to fill the pages a lot. ;)
Let's say that sometimes it happens that they actually know what to write :D
