We were equal on points with Roma and Udinese and the three of us played playoffs. Roma came first to take the 5th spot and play in the UEFA Cup, whereas we came 2nd or 3rd (I can't remember) to take 6th or 7th spot and play in the Intertoto Cup with Udinese.
man time flies. along with my memory.

btw, who was our right back before thuram. some time my mate asked and hell i couldnt remember. was it birindelli?

I can't agree with most people's defence (except Forza Ac Milan). Roma had the best defence of the season and only one person put up a Roma player up? With all respect to Koldrup, but he's no Samuel nor Chivu.

dpforever got it more or less right apart from missing Samuel/Chivu and maybe changing Ze Maria who this year wasn't that great when compared to previous years.

In fact our only player who can really make such a list is Zambrotta. He had a great start to the season then couldn't keep the same rhythm all throughout but still performed decently and when he was injured we missed him badly.

Chivu started exceptionally well at the beginning but started to fade away and made alot of mistakes towards the end of the season. Samuel is ofcourse a great defender, but I think Ferrarai and Stam would edge him out. Roma have a good defensive record thanks to their solid midfield too.

the most boring to watch :Modena:fero:
Though I actually found Makinwa pretty entertaining this year -- in a crazy, I'm-not-from-this-continent attacker sort of way.

the best veteran :Fabrizio Ravanelli Roberto Baggio Gianluca Pagliuca Dario Hubner:touched:
Pagliuca had some performances this year that goalies half his age can only dream of.

    ------------------------Dida--------------------

    --------Cafu---------Maldini--------Stam----------Lima

    ------------Fiore----------------Pirlo---------Emerson

    -------------------------------Totti----------Kaka-------

    --------------------Gilardino--------------Sheva

    Honorable mentions,

Pancaro had a good patch but did not start and now has gone missing
Nesta was brilliant but missed some games, Chivu started well but faded at the turn of the year, same can be said of Mancini

Gatusso is very unlucky to miss out as is Chevanton, Cassano

Bazzanni started well and then almost completely faded, as did Adriano and his move to Inter

Dida has been the most consistent golak keeper just edging out Pellizolli and De Sanctis

Lima has just been brilliant as left wing back/left sided defender

Dacourt has had a brilliant season as had Nervo

Player of the season, well 2 stand out but what edged it for me is that one actually inspired his team to win the scudetto while the other just fell short
So step forward Kaka, the best thing to happen to Italian football in ages and well done to Totti for his continual brilliance with Kudos to Sheva as well

spot on denco, but i reckon rambo edges out lima, just.
Pancaro was better than both of them imo, and you have 12 players in your team, denco.
