I’m not sure our goal this year was to achieve an even worse place than last season, and without a Copa win, but it still took a lot to get there. Especially with Roma, Liao, and Bologna on our heels in the crunch.

So congrats on qualifying for the CL again. Questionable if we deserve to, but at least we have reason to believe that now.

It’s not celebration. It’s relief. Huge difference.

Because us not making the CL would have been more catastrophic for this club than many here realise.

Now we have more breathing space financially, are still a somewhat attractive proposition to players and coaches and can keep our better players.

Failure season overall and I’m disgusted with most of these players and our shambolic management but now we can say that this clubs “minimum objective” was met.

But this can’t be enough. Need to get back to challenging, and winning, the league again. Five years of being a meme club is enough now.
