Juventus
Buffon 10: This analysis is simple - if it hadn’t been for Buffon, Juve would have lost this game. World-class save from Di Natale in the first half at 0-1 and two more brilliant stops in the second.
Zebina 5.5: Zebina is aggressive and gets stuck in but the tactical side of his game has let him down his entire career. Booked for arguing with the referee.
Molinaro 5.0: Dreadful this afternoon. Was caught out of position constantly in the first half and was lucky that at least two goals didn’t occur due to his defensive inadequacies.
Legrottaglie 5.5: Skinned for Udinese’s first goal and at fault for the chance when Di Natale raced through on goal. Improved in the second-half.
Chiellini 6.0: Chiellini was very shaky in the first-half and also made an error on Di Natale’s chance. However he was a rock after the interval, perhaps finding his feet after his injury lay-off.
Camoranesi 6.5: Also a little ring-rusty after some extended spells on the sidelines. However he scored the crucial equaliser with a bullet header from a corner.
Nocerino 5.5: Completely dominated by Inler in the first-half, however like most of his team-mates, improved in the second period.
Zanetti 6.5: Similar analysis to Nocerino’s above, although Zanetti really did take the game by the scruff of the neck in the second 45 minutes.
Nedved 7.0: Nedved was Juve’s best player on the pitch last week against Cagliari. Today he was not so dominant, however a piece of magic set-up Iaquinta’s winner. This alone gets him a rating of 7.
Del Piero 6.5: The only player in the first half for Juve who tried, albeit unsuccessfully, to make something happen. Some nice touches, but never really exploded into life. Set-up Camoranesi’s goal from the corner.
Trezeguet 3.0: Substitute Iaquinta did more in the first 10 seconds he was on the pitch than Trezeguet did for his 74 minutes. The prolific Frenchman was completely anonymous and must have touched the ball only a handful of times.
Substitutes: Palladino – 6.5, Iaquinta – 7.5, Sissoko – NA
