If I was Capello I would have tried something like this against Ascoli and then ponder my decision about the next match thereafter:

Abbiati

Zambrotta - Kovac - Cannavaro - Chiellini

Camoranesi - Vieira - Emerson

Del Piero - Trezeguet - Mutu

Again, I see nothing wrong with just trying something different against much weaker opponents, however against Udinese he will use the same 4-4-2 as always. I can see Udinese causing us some problems however it will be interesting to see how they respond after the 4-2 loss against Fiorentina on the weekend. Although we usually beat Udinese wherever the match is being held, this is indeed a new Udinese with Serse Cosmi as manager, so we shall see.

There will be no surprises in the lineup. Capello doesn't like to make dramatic changes. It seems to me, that he doesn't like rotation either. The only logical change will be the RB, Blasi or Balzaretti could play. Other than that, I expect the same thing:
Abbiati
Blasi (Ba) Kovac Cannavaro Zambrotta

Camo Emerson Vieira Nedved

Zlatan Treze

I think that is very dificalt mutch. Before 2 or 3 years Udinese was not a good team at all but the last year i think that fairly belongs to the best 4 teams in Italy. The player that is the key in Udinese is Iaqunita and i this that is better than Casano. He get 3 goals to the team that has the best defence in greece. If we get a man to man to him i think that we can get at least the draw.

When he had a chance he blew it. He should experiment as much with smaller sides like Ascoli but I dont think its dawned on him yet. No way in hell, he'd try anything new against Udinese, which means no Mutu for sure. And the ever predictable 4-4-2 with his two 6 footers up top.

Actually this formation is not that different than his flat 4-4-2, knowing that Mutu plays wide. The only difference I see is Del Piero replacing Zlatan. I don't really care about the changes in our back line as to a certain point they are all the same or end up in being in the same effectiveness.

But here is the trick, Mutu playing instead of Nedved is just good for creativity and to add more power in the attack, will it happen one day regardless of injuries?

I don't think Zambrotta can play in a 3-man defence, but what about playing Thuram - Cannavaro - Kovac in the back and subbing Zambrotta?
This would be interesting to see.
But this game we will play straight 4-4-2 with Trez and Ibra up front. Would be surprised (but quite happy) to se DP from start.

there is no need to change the 4-4-2 formation by now, and surly not in an away game againt UDINESE.

I feel that Zlatan will score tomorow

why do you put chielini in place of zambro?is a mistake or a u really that stupid?zambro's plaing there becouse he' s probably best in the world,he can play LB and LMbouth in the same match so nedved can go forward or in midfield, there's noone who can replace him there :p
that's my dream attak also but it will not happen :p

abiati
blasi kovac(maybe thuram)canna zambro 100%
camo vieira emerson nedved
del piero(*) trezeguet
this is the team I'm sure,*not ibra becouse cappelo saw that he was shit lately,in second half agains ascoli he did'nt nothing good :p

Why do you call someone stupid if he suggests something you don't agree with?

:thumb:

btw: if zambrotta play that good on the left, than he will be even better on the right because he was playing basicly on the right.
