What Serie A channels do you get on the dreambox? Do you get EPL and CL games too? and one more question, does it need an internet connection?
thanks guys
alright guys will make you understand what is a Dreambox:

1-what is a Dreambox? it is a Satellite Digital receiver which you connect it to your TV and watch it from there, you don't need a computer to use it (at least it is not a must!)

2- Do you need a Satellite/ Dish? Yes you need it definitely..

3- Do you need an Internet Connection? Not Necessary.. But If you connect it to Internet, you can have a lot of advantages, for example you can update the built in Cam in it (which is a software), and that update only takes seconds because the file usually is maximum 3 Mega.. that software will unscramble the codes and you watch some subscription required channels for free!

4- Other advantages you can use, there are many companies out there that they share any kind of subscription Cards, such as Orbit, Showtime, ESPN, TV cabo, and any cards in the world you can imagine.. But you must have a high speed Internet, and you must be connected all the time to Internet.

5- There are also other advantages like downloading a key, which is in a note pad file (varies from 5 Kbytes to 10Kbytes) which you download it once and you don't need to stay connected on internet, but sometimes you might need to download that note pad file every few days, it depends on the Channels/ service providers that change the codes of the channels.

6- you can also connect to other regular users worldwide through Internet who might share a connection of their dreambox with you, any original card he uses in his dreambox , you can watch it from your own dreambox without buying that card, but you must stay connected with him, once one of you disconnected those channels are back scrambled again.

hope this helps..

ok, does anyone know what degrees the satellite dish needs to be pointed at to get SKY Calcio, and the rest ??

I thought it hooked up to your computer, making the dish unnecessary
Vinnie, its not a streaming service. You need to have the channels regularly on your receiver. What it does that it cracks the codes or (emulates) them just like if you have a subscription.

The crack is done by "cardsharing", just like torrents or p2p, where you and others share their wealth of their collective cards, so you would end up with 100's of "emulated" or "soft" cards.

Google "cardsharing" for more info ;)

Yes but if you build up your "peers" up to big numbers 50 and above, then you will probably have the important or crucial match channels.

The downside of sharing is that its kind of technical, and lots won't have the time for it. Plus you need to socialize with others in forums in order to "hook up" with each other.

Exactly the reasons I'm not into it...but I can't deny it works provided you accept that you can't always depend on your personal contacts. So what's left? It's pretty pricey & here's why...

The horizon or Atlantic Gate as it is known in the trade is what geographically prevents a general programming exchange between the American countries & Europe. Of course, by pre-arrangement between consenting broadcasters using a satellite to satellite link, we get live & pre-recorded hook ups from everywhere. Copyright infringement is the official reason for this not being a full time thing, but in reality it comes down to individual tv companies on both sides of "The Pond" not meeting each others' asking prices for the programming in question. So you really have to be located within the footprint of the satellite carrying the broadcasts you want.

In the UK though, for example, the Dreambox can still provide a viable but costly method to unlocking official doors. Used in conjunction with a Sky Italia box & outdated card, with a constant internet link maintained, the Sky card is conned into thinking it is still active & will give you the complete package including football, hardcore porn, & movies. Costing just under £120 monthly, this "failsafe" (at least for now) internet contact via a dealer will also give multi satellite system owners with a 1.5 mtr dish almost everything horizon to horizon over Europe! The official cost of Italian, Spanish, Greek, French, German, Dutch, Scandinavian, Central European, Arabic & Asian would be horrific! But with the Dreambox...not so bad! :excited:

No Vinman! you connect it to your TV, Sky Italia is probably on Hotbird, or close satellites Eutelsat etc.. Hotbird is 13 East degree, it is mostly based in Europe, so you will need a 2 meter quality Dish at least!
well, that takes me out of the running....

my wife will NOT go for another satellite dish on the roof...seeing as though there are already 4 up there :disagree:

Ok so for the past two days I have been hacking away on my Dreambox. When I bought the DM last Tuesday, I used it one day with the server I bought a subscription for, it was slow and very unstable. So I decided to ditch the thing (yes the one I bought for 60 euros :() and take the matter in my own hands. I installed G-Box on my DM and started scouring the net for good peers....

And now? Orbit, ART, Cyfra, Pehla, TPS....etc are all on-demand with no stuttering whatsoever! Sky Italia also works pretty good, but not up to my standards I get some stuttering every now and then. and also it cracked JUVENTUS CHANNEL!!! hehe, its not very strong, its very unstable and too much hiccups :(....but the point is that its doable, ill have to scour the net for a good Juventus channel peer :D....1 week ago I didn't know anything about satellites dishes, not to mention cracking up encoded ones.... I am a geek :nerd: :weee:

Hey Rami .

How do you open Juventus Channel ?

send to me everything and the files for it , i want to have it in my Dreambox :(
Well its a long process man, but kind of easy when you get to understand it. The only down side of it is that you have to scour card sharing forums to find good peers that are willing to share with you.

Also, you having a local card would help you very much. Most card owners don't accept virtual cards because they are not really reliable. I have a local Showtime card which made my life easier. I believe in order to get Sky you need a peer that has a local card on his box i.e distance 1. distance 2, 3,4...etc wouldn't work.

I also noticed that on non-arabic forums, ART is looked down upon, people don't want it. Firstly because they are a bad channel to begin with, they are cheap and hence abundant, and lots of Arabs try to scam Europeans with fake ART cards. So ART won't do.

Anyways I will post a HOWTO if you are still interested, but when I get back home.

I have all sky Italia channels .

I tell you i have a realy good dam server it's now almost 2 weeks and the channels never cut down or anything like that .

the proplem is , the guy who has th real sky italia card doesn't want to pay more $$ to get the teams channels like Milan channel , Inter's , Roma's and Juve's one .

i talked to him 3 days ago and i told him that i will pay for him $$ if he add Juventus Channel in the server .

he said he will add it soon , but he is realy scared to do that .

he said : " what if Sky knew that i'm sharing the card when i will go to add Juve channel ? "

I know you have Sky, but Juventus Channel is under Sky.

Well the server that I payed money for was crap, Sky was very bad, even ART had some snags. So I decided to do it my self...and I am a server right now ;) It is much better, but only if I could get a good peer for Juventus Channel I would be over the moon.

Anyways I will write up a HOWTO for you and others over here, I am by no means experienced in this, but ill try my best.

Dreambox DM 500S is over two times cheaper than 7020, what's the catch? Those are the only two models I can get here.
