people keep on saying how weak our midfield is but last yrar we won the scudetto with Rabiot, Bettancur, Bernardesci... I guess that must have been because of Matuidi, Pjanic, Kedira o_O

Agree with David on his last 2 posts. The grass looked greener on the other side but I guess it wasn't when it came to the midfield. We needed to get better there but results say we haven't. And Sarri IMO didn't have any advantage in greater talent at hand. Loved Pirlo as a player but results say he hasn't been average at best as a manager. Agnelli I blame more than him. It was an offer Andrea couldn't refuse. FUAA!

Frankly we were lucky today not to lose, Szczęsny pulled off some outstanding saves. I've said it a million times but we just run around aimlessly. The number of times they ran through the middle was ridiculous. Mistake to leave Dybala out as well, when your only creative players are Chiesa, Cuadrado and Ronaldo you can't dismiss Dybala and think that Rabiot and Ramsey will save us. I can see us in the Europa League next season because we persist with this rookie coach.

This is the most decomposed team since 2007.
Ronaldo only cares when he scores
Sirigu is better than Polak.
Midfield doesn't existed .
Morata is awful.
Sandro is on another planet not thinking about football at all.
Kulusevski is my biggest disappointment so far!!

Pirlo and his motivation skills are bellow zero!
As soon as it ends this charade ,better!
A torture for eyes to watch this team playing.

Not sure that something big could happen AFTER this season! This season is way too bad to remember but the future is not bright either.

It's not probable for a team to have a terrible season and win the next one, but not impossible either.
Only in the last 10 years it happened 5 times in the big 5:

Juve were 7th in 2010/11 --- won the scudetto in 2011/12
Chelsea were 10th in 2015/16 --- won the EPL in 2016/17
Leicester were 14th in 2014/15 --- won the EPL in 2015/16
Dortmund were 5th in 2009/10 --- won Bundesliga in 2010/11
Montpellier were 14th in 2010/11 --- won Ligue 1 in 2011/12
There are many other cases when a team finished 3rd or 4th with 15, 20 or 30 points minus behind the league winner, and won the next one.

Though, all these teams except Montpellier made drastic changes in the summer before the winning season. Except Dortmund, they all changed the manager, and all of them made important changes in the squad. Juve added Conte+Pirlo, Vidal, Licht, Vucinic etc; Chelsea added Conte+Kante, David Luiz, Alonso; Dortmund bought Lewandowski, while Leicester added Ranieri+Kante, Fuchs, Huth, Okazaki, Inler.

Basically, a good coach and two important additions in the starting XI might make everything click. But that's more wishful thinking than probability in our case.

Pjanic actually had a pretty good start to the season. I recall a certain member gloating about how he knew Pjanic would perform well under Sarri unlike us 100mil Pjanic mental imps lol @JCK @s4tch @DAiDEViL

The reason we won the scudetto last year was because we had a fantastic first 4 months, when Pjanic and Bentancur were in great form, and Dybala was killing it. We collapsed after that and almost lost it as well as getting embarrassed in CL and Coppa.

Pjanic > Arthur and it isn’t even close. And obviously badly missing Dybala.

but Pirlo is still an inexperienced rookie with zero clue as to what he’s doing right now.

He was critical for the continuation of that dominance

I wouldn't be surprised to see Inter hire him in a couple of years when Conte burns out
Continuation? Allegri took us to heights Conte couldn’t even dream of. Literally. Can’t dine in a 500€ restaurant with 5€ ya know. Conte sucked ass in cup competitions and still does. 100% we’d be winning the league with him though, and with Marotta we probably wouldn’t have such an unbalanced mess of a squad

First 4 months, the players still had some Allegri in their brains, but as time went on, it slowly but surely got replaced by sarrismo and smoke.

Pirlo now adding wine to the mix.

No wonder we are where we are.

100%. We had a couple Sarri-ball experiments at the very start of the season, that ended with us looking really poor, so we reverted to Allegri’s discipline and tactics for the next few months while we accomplished early season objectives like CL ko qualification and a lead in the table, and then we completely collapsed as soon as Sarri tried to install his shitty, one-dimensional football, and his lame ass “winning doesn’t matter” mentality. Still seeing the effects this year, exacerbated by having a clueless rookie on the bench.

The above is also why we struggled in CL group stage after hiring Max, even though we kept marching through the league like a machine. We had to recover from Conte era feeling of European anxiety and inferiority that he constantly reinforced.

I can't imagine a scenario where we win against Napoli.
I can, sit back, absorb their pressure and hit them on counters and breaks. Oh wait, wrong timeline, wrong coach

1st off we had Pjanic and Matuidi, who in their finished state are better than current bunch.

We are terrible, completely casual and without any grinta or spirit.

Kulusevski made the same mistake as porto, I can forgive it once but twice tells me you don't have the mentality to play at Juventus.

Once again we cop a goal right after the restart.
Sczezny was terrible on both goals.

Once again, we bring on Ramsay in search of a goal. At this point fuck it, play Correia.

Once again Fagioli sits on the bench, baffling.

Not good enough, need to move quickly otherwise we are fucked
