Pepe set up the goal for heavens sakes. He actually took the game on in that moment by running forward and booting a great long ball straight to the feet of Giacherrini. Marchisio never would have done that. He deserves a 3 for doing absolutely nothing all game, misplacing passes and being a lazy coward.

Pepe hoofed the ball forward all match, one of the hoofs was to be something. Other than hoofing he passed the ball backwards.

Marchisio was nowhere to be seen, I am not exaggerating if I say I only saw him once.

Isn't it better that a player hoofs it forward or runs it forward than a player doing nothing at all? Pepe's ball came off and it set us up for a goal. Had he decided not to show up at all (like Marchisio does) that opportunity would never have come and we wouldn't have scored. You can't deny that his effort deserves a higher rating than Marchisio's considering he actually did something albeit not so pretty.

Completely agree.
That's why i think Conte should make a few changes and not stick with this lineup just because we won the game...
i hope there will be changes,Our wings needs to be subbed,and would like to see Vidal starting.
More players needs to be involved starting from the next game,both Elia and Chelo have trained enough to get a chance.

To be fair, Marchisio's role is different from Pepe's.

Role's are irrelevant. I'm talking about effort and taking the game on. If Marchisio wanted to take the game on he would have pressed harder, trying to make tackles and not passing backward or to the opposition. He didn't do any of those. Pepe at least moved it up the ground and made a decisive pass. Long balls like that don't pertain to Pepe's role, but he did what he needed to do.
