Roma have an ongoing issue due to Garcia's style with getting dragged too fan to one side of the pitch.

The wingers don't really defend and that causes problems.

That means the fullback steps forward, a centre-half goes wide and before you know it, Roma are in daner of being overloaded by a quick switch.

De Rossi often saves them by dropping back in to the defensive line, but there is still a vulnerability.

Anyway, I expect both teams to be preoccupied with not losing, rather than winning, so a draw is pretty likely.

Morata and Mandzukic upfront certainly doesn't strike fear any in the heart of many defences. It's almost Iaquinta-Amauri level in that they're both the type of striker that rely on others to create, and with the midfield that we have, not much of that will occur.

There's no reference point in the team atm. Pirlo and Tevez were reference points, players you could always rely on in that even when the game is not going well, you can pass the ball to them and they'll calm the entire team down with their skill and presence. Vidal was like this to a certain extent, but it was more to do with his never say die in defence and always showing up for any wave in attack.

Marchisio is a great player but doesn't have that reference point type quality. Someone is going to have to step up and lead or there could a lot of pre-Conte pain coming this season. None of us expected two 7th place finishes after we finished 2nd and 3rd following our return to Serie A. As the legends had to move on, we thought we had purchased good players to keep us going knowing little that we were in for a few shocks. None of the players we have bought this market are proven. Mandzukic is a running machine, Zaza is rubbish, Dybala could still flop hard, and Alex Sandro is solid but has yet to set the world on fire and Khedira seems to have no end to his injury problems.

Let's wait and see, we've had a good ride for the last four seasons.
