Coach determines yes, based on how good they do at trainings and in previous games
The harder you work and the better you get the more chances you have to be picked
At least that's how it is supposed to work

Cant remember the exact figure but DP gets in the region of a 5% cut of his rights.
Same percentage as Becks gets.
Also worth noting that DP was the first player to ever include an image cut in his contract.
Another point is that Players like DP do not earn too much as his merchandising basically pays his wages.... he costs virtually nothing in real terms... its the small players that cost money as they dont bring in much
