That wouldn't be a bad idea at all as Maresca is a better passer than Nedved, more creative than Nedved, and feels he has something to prove to Lippi, Moggi and co.

... last match our defence was fvcked up cuz there were no mids to backup with 'em..... i think we should start with DP and Trez up front ... with micco instead of Neddy .... with appiah, tudor, maresca as DMs ... and then get nedved in insted of tudor if we need him
Your strategy is pretty good but imo we don't have the required players to pull it off. Appiah, Tudor and Maresca are all primarily central players which would leave us with next to no width. If we had Gattuso and Davids, DMs that can play in a wider role, it could probably work but unfortunately we don't really have those kind of players.

This is what I would try:

    Buffon
    Thuram - Legro - Ferrara - Pessotto
    Appiah - Tudor - Zambrotta
    Maresca
    Trezzy - ADP

If Birindelli wasn't suspended my back four would consist of him, Thuram, Ferrara and Pesso. Zambro would be a good addition to midfield because of the amount of running he does, while Maresca would offer the creativity and Tudor the physical and aerial presence.

This is the probable line-up according to Gazzetta:

    Buffon
    Thuram - Ferrara - Iuliano - Zambrotta
    Tudor - Appiah
Camoranesi - Nedved - Del Piero
    Trezeguet

    no Maresca :wallbang::down:

How many more games will Appiah be given yet still play poorly and someone with twice as much talent has to sit and watch?!

and especially now, that we have nothing to lose.

parma is not reaching us and we are not reaching roma.

so...i think it would be the best thing for lippi to put the youngsters

It really can't be that Miccoli and Maresca maynot play under Lippi!!!

I hate that... Both are so great... and Maresca is miles better than Camo!!
Maresca and Camoranesi play different positions though.

weLL not totaLLy. i bet maresca couLd play on the right. but Lippi ussualLy pLays on the Left.

they ARE different players. one is a winger and one is a midfieLder but they could play the same positions

Camo is getting better and more consistent...
Its a shame that Maresca doesn't earn trust from Lippi...

Lippi's just plain weird. He picked on Roby Baggio in Juve, and not letting Maresca play, hmmm

I still don't get why he refuses to play Maresca.. Miccoli isn't there either. Miccoli has more impact on a game than Maresca IMO

Oh well, whatever floats your boat signore Lippi

anyway, he knows he will be going out this summer.
this will be his last 4 games with the team
lets try to enjoy it.<let him to play as he chooses. We ought him.

the future of our team have two possibilities:

    Prandelli: Gilardino, Ferrari, bonera ??(fiore)

Deschamps: Rothen, Evra, Schillachi ?? (Mexes)

    we will know soon

that was one mistake that i really hated lippi for doing!
i mean roby baggio was amazing..it was sad to see him leave

well sometimes coaches do the wierdest things for the wierdest reason..

take trap for not playing del piero in the azzurri macthes more often in the world cup.

but i think he has nothing agaiunt maresca he just wantes every player to get his time on the pitch
