Actually he could.Del Piero seems to have settled in to his new role in the team, and isn't as bitter as he deserves to be.I wouldn't mind him staying and taking whatever opportunities Don Fabio might be willing to give him to prove him wrong, that certainly beats him leaving for another team.
it's a timebomb waiting to explode.
so far only DP personality that prevent the direct media rows.
Just imagine Totti in the same condition. :D

How can you say that Del Piero wouldn't have made a difference? None of us can say that as we don't know how he would have performed or what he may have contributed, but the fact is, both Trezeguet and Ibrahimovic were poor and DP should have replaced one of the two or Birindelli instead of Zalayeta. Regardless of our position in the league, Capello's decision making didn't impress me today.

As I don't think 1 or 2 players in an entire team that was playing badly would have upped our overal performace.

OUT MUSCLED, OUT-HUSTLED, OUT-PASSED, AND OUT- SHOT......

Dont fool yourselves, we ARE in a crisis...We haven't played well since we beat Roma......

TRAP has ruined this team. It has no direction, no leadership, and if you watched the game, you noticed that we just ran arond aimlessly, like chickens with their heads cut off....

My chump of the game award goes to Olivera...HE IS NOT JUVE MATERIAL...

A close second place is a tie between the dirtiest player in the game who cant dribble but thinks he can Zlatan, and the invisible man Trez

All you DP bashers, please tell me what Zlatan and Trez have done to keep their starting roles ??? If TRAP lives up to his word (no one is untouchable) then one of these jokers should be on the bench next game....

TRAP is such an idiot....sub out Tacchi for Blasi when your a goal down ??? DP should have gone in, not Blasi. typical TRAP move...,....

My next prediction is that Inter will end up ahead of us in second place, and we'll end up third.....
    Preach it, dawg.

In the firste half juve managed to create 18 - eighteen- freekicks for Palermo, many of them in dangerouse positions. IMO thats way too much.. Espesially when juve have soo much trouble with freekick. We looked over-aggresive, and "gave" Palermo this win. They are very good at set-pieces- corini- We should know this, and therfor not give away freekick so easy.. another thing is that i dont think we could have scored any goals today even if the match had lasted for a WEEK!!
Tres made me cry and rip my hair of today and poor tach does not what the h.. to do with the ball. i am just sad!! :( :(

@Jeeks: As a coach of a football team, when your boys aren't playing well and things aren't going their way as was the case today, you HAVE to at least try something to rectify the situation, and Capello should have brought on Del Piero. When he sucks he's replaced, but when Zlatan and Trez suck, they play 90 minutes. When DP's on the pitch and we aren't doing well, individuals can make a difference, but when it's Trezlatan upfront, no-one can help rescue a point.

    Olivera - 1.92638
    Zlatan - 5

Del Piero was more effective than Trez today.

Sometimes I don't want Capello to bring DP on,you know what I mean?Because then he'd be proving us right, that his heart does rule his brain. That he does indeed have preferences in the team contrary to what he says. That he wants to prove that we lost last week with Del Piero and wants to win this week without him.

Fabio Capello has urged his side not to get too concerned despite their second defeat on the trot, while Palermo are relishing every moment of their victory.

“We gifted the goal to Palermo after 12 minutes and until that point the game was in the balance,” stated the Juve boss after their 1-0 loss.

“They were very well organised on set-pieces and were able to make the most of the counter-attack in the second half when we poured forward in search of an equaliser.”

This was a more disappointing overall performance than the midweek 1-0 defeat to Sampdoria and alarm bells are ringing, especially if Milan beat Lazio on Sunday evening and cut the gap to just two points.

“We must keep our heads up and look forward,” insisted Capello. “Let us not forget that we are still top of the table and will get ourselves back on track.”

Francesco Guidolin was on Cloud Nine after Palermo’s first League victory over Juventus since 1948-49.

“I think this was the best Rosanero performance of the season so far,” commented the Coach. “We were up against a fantastic team, so we had to raise our game.”

The Sicilians sent a packed out Stadio Renzo Barbera wild with joy after Franco Brienza’s winning goal, especially as goalkeeper Matteo Guardalben barely made a save.

“We dominated the match and deserved to win it. The thing that gave Juve the most problems was our constant pressure in midfield and determination. This is an incredible squad that surprises even me with its achievements.”

Palermo are now temporarily in sixth place and battling for the Champions’ League spots despite playing their first Serie A season in three decades.

“This day will remain in the history books,” said Luca Toni as the Sicilian celebrations raged on through the night.

“After a difficult week, we really wanted to give these fans something to enjoy and we managed it. We’re playing well and must keep our feet on the ground.”
