:eek::eek:

I dont think so boody.

We can not play without Del Piero :))
Y can't we play without DP? We have Zlatan, a on-form forward and Trezeguet, a goal scoring machine. With our 2 on-form forwards, y shouldn't we play both of them and compromise to DP instead?

I suddenly thought of this formation, since we have winger shortage

---------Trez-------Zlatan
-------------Olivera----------
--------Emerson-----Blasi-----Tacchnardi
Zambro------Canna-----Thuram------Zebina
-----------our good old Buffon--------------

Juve flying without wings Friday 4 February, 2005

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

League leaders Juventus are facing a winger shortage ahead of their crucial trip to Palermo on Saturday.

The Bianconeri could be without three wide midfielders after Mauro Camoranesi (pictured) became the latest doubt.

Pavel Nedved and Olivier Kapo are definitely out, given that the Czech ace is recovering from a knee injury and the Frenchman picked up a thigh strain in the 1-0 loss to Sampdoria.

But Camoranesi may also be missing after the Italian international, who has been in sparkling form of late, collected a slight calf muscle problem.

Boss Fabio Capello is now likely to start with Ruben Olivera, who missed the Samp game through suspension, on the right.

He will also probably be forced to play Gianluca Pessotto at left-back, allowing Gianluca Zambrotta to advance into midfield.

It also seems certain that Zlatan Ibrahimovic will start in attack, even if it is unclear who will be relegated to the bench between Alessandro Del Piero and David Trezeguet.

:groan::groan:
Regardless of if Camoranesi is injured or not, we already know that we'll be without him because of suspension. Birindelli and Pessotto will most likely occupy the full back positions and Zambrotta will operate in midfield, but does he play on the left with Oli on the right or vice versa? I'm hoping for DP and Zlatan in attack.

Since Palermo are a very solid team, and are having a great season so far, and drew 1-1 against us earlier this season, Capello should perhaps look to win this match tactically, making the most of their weaknesses and at the same time ensure we are solid at the back. Palermo are a very tough opponent with a great defencive record and should not be underestimated. They have also managed some impressive results against the big teams, including us. We will have to battle to the end if we want to win this one but I'm confident we can do it.

I think this formation looks good, although I'm unsure how Del Piero will do, taking in account that he would be involved in most of our attacks:

Buffon
Zebina Thuram Cannavaro Zambrotta
Blasi Emerson Olivera
Del Piero
Trezeguet Ibrahimovic.
Alternatively we could play: (and Capello probably will)

Buffon

Zebina - Thuram - Cannavaro - Birindelli

Olivera - Emerson - Blasi - Zambrotta

Trezeguet - Ibrahimovic

Palermo has very strong defence.. we need at least 4 offensive players..

-----------Buffon
Zebina-Thuram-Cannavaro-Zambrotta
Olivera-Emerson-Tachinardi-Del Piero
---------Trezequet-Ibra....

just thougt... Zlatan has not scored since the return of trezequet.....
That's two matches; Trezeguet is still returning to full fitness, and Zlatan came close on several occasions against Sampdoria, but was foiled by Antonioli.

Nothing to panic about IMO

I'd rather have Olivera playing behind Trez and Zlatan, but without any of our wingers available, I don't think it's gonna happen

Surely not. Pretty sure were going to get these dull-to-watch one-zeros at the same rate as before the christmas brake when nedved gets back, and then Capello won't change a thing.

I hope he's seen the value in Oliviera, because I rather die then see this midfield throw-out the whole season:
Camoranesi-Blasi-Emerson-Nedved

So how do you want it?

We have no wingers except for Olivera, I am almost sure Zambrotta will take a flank on the game....As for the upfront, I have a feeling that again Del Piero will be benched with a big chance that he joins later during the game

Forza Juventus

Zambrotta must work on his crosses.. I have not seen good crosses from him this season..

I haven't seen any Juve players consistantly cross the ball well. Considering it's our main weapon to create scoring opportunities, it's just not good enough.

- Zlatan is given up front.
- Without our Wingers i have to invent something. I might do some kind of tactical change, we will see tomorrow.
/Capello - Gazzetta.it

Perhaps the trident will get its chance from start tomorrow. Since all our ballwinners are avaliable for this match. But the lineup I think we can expect is:

--------Ibrahimovic - Trezeguet
Zambrotta - Emerson - Blasi - Oliviera
Pessotto - Cannavaro - Thuram - Zebina
----------------Buffon

Daddi

Cuadrado is juan hell of a derby king!

That is exactly the formation I wanna see ;)
