Camolese challenges Juve odds
Giancarlo Camolese knows Livorno have their best chance in years to get a result against stuttering Juventus.
The Amaranto have not won this fixture since a 1-0 result on March 9, 1941 and were crushed 5-1 in Turin back in Week 1.
However, Livorno are unbeaten in nine, while Claudio Ranieri’s Bianconeri are coming off two straight draws against Catania and Sampdoria plus a 2-2 with 10-man Inter in the Coppa Italia quarter-final midweek.
“Heart, grit, hard work and also tactical intelligence is what we need,” said former Torino boss Camolese.
“With these weapons Livorno must try to oppose Juventus. We must be ready to fight back blow for blow, focusing on every little detail.
“Juve are a competitive and important side. They were built to win and it will be very tough for us. We’ll have a few midfielders back, but the final decisions will be made before kick-off.”
Martin Bergvold and Giuliano Giannichedda are out, while Rahman Rezaei is an injury doubt.
Francesco Tavano again leads the line alongside former Deportivo La Coruna star Diego Tristan.
