Lets end this bad spell now:cool: Im praying 4 the real Juve. Dv was off target against gala but he is still our most lively forward. I would also like to see him and Dp but that wont happen. Trez and Dp are deadly but Dp needs Zambro and Nedveds link up play. I hope he scores. 3-2 Juve.

Juve 3-2 do u know when was the alst time juve even beat lazio not only that but bet them on their gorund..
that would be amazing! if we beat them the same way lazio beat us...(dreams...if only it could happen)
the last time Juve beat Lazio was in 2000

The game is very importent for us, we have to win this game or at least draw to take ourself back to the track.

After to defeats last week it is time to win otherwise we will lose all of our confidence.

Beside that if we win then we can keep the gap between leaders small.

Last week's whitewash at the hands of Inter was a wake-up call for the Bianconeri as it brought the team back to earth after spending 3 lovely months in heaven. The team had the best start in many seasons and no matter which Juve side entered the pitch, it would somehow manage to come out as victors. The team was praised for its solidity lead by Lippi and emerged as early favourites to secure the Scudetto for the third consecutive time and do well in the European scene. However, the team seem to have hit a brick-wall recently and the sweet victories have been hard to come by and suddenly things are not quite as rosy as it used to be.

Juve will have to lick their wounds after the double defeats over the week and start all over again. Against Inter the team appeared to lack motivation - or at least were less motivated than the damn Interistas. Against Galatasaray the team improved but were far from clinical (Di Vaio forgot to take his scoring boot with him to Dortmund!!). But against Lazio - no question - Juve will certainly be fully charged up for a first-class performance, crowned with the matche's 3 points on offer, to strike fear again across Italy and Europe.

Lazio will also enter the match with something to prove following their shambolic defeat at Siena last weekend, even though the team saved some face by winning in the less glamorous Coppa Italia. Ultra-sophisticated coach Mancini stated after the Siena defeat that 11 lions will be facing Juve, not exactly the sort of Santa Claus gift you might expect. Amongst those lions will be a certain Stam, the mountain of a defender from the Netherlands seems to finally be fit again after the several set-backs he faced since the start of the season.

Tactical-Setup

Lippi's rotation system sees 'JuveA' back to business under the 4-2-3-1 formation. All eyes will be on Alex Del Piero, as several eyebrows were raised when Lippi opted for him ahead of an in-form Di Vaio. Il capitano is yet to repay the coach. Trezeguet spearheads Juve’s attack and lets hope he is as clinical as ever.

Alex scored 6 goals against Lazio.

Nedved plays against his former teammates and fans in the Olympico whereas Zambro makes a welcome comeback after missing on the Inter and Galatasaray defeats. Thuram indicated that winning the Scudetto will be harder if the team keeps conceding many goals, hope he gives a shout or two to Legro and Montero to hold that fragile defense better.

Special match for Nedved

Even though Lopez and Cesar have recovered from their respective injuries, they are not fit enough to start the match. This will affect Lazio's ability to lead swift attacks in which they were famously known for last season. Mancini will also have to contend with Stankovic's absence as the captain serves the first game in a 4-match ban after his not-so-friendly confrontation with a linesman. Mancini has rotated his midfield previously with many players, including: Dabo, Albertini, Liverani, and Giannichedda. The latter is expected to deputies for Stankovic.

No Stankovic for Lazio.

Lazio’s attack is lead by the dangerous duo: Corradi-Inzaghi. Even though Corradi has been less active lately and is suffering from a drop of form but still you never know when could he pop-up to score a goal or set up one. As mentioned earlier, Giannichedda is expected to partner Albertini in center of midfield, whereas Fiore plays in the right and Zauri in the left, deputizing for the injured Cesar.

Lazio’s dangerous duo

Stam is expected to play as rightback to stop Del Piero, replacing the more-offensive Oddo, while Favalli plays on the left-back position. Centre defense consists of hot-tempered and free-kick specialist Mihajlovic and captain Negro. If needed, Mancini could use Oddo, Conceiçao and Lopez as attacking options in the second half.

Beware of Mihajlovic’s freekicks.

Juve last sunk Lazio away in 1999, with a double scored by Thierry Henry and another goal scored by Nicola Amoruso. Lazio replied with current coach Roberto Mancini. Lazio-Juve was played 60 times before, with Lazio winning 23 times, Juve winning a close 22 times and the match ending in a tie 15 times. Both teams scored 81 goals against each other.

Buffon saved a late Fiore penalty last season.

Hort, In this game we know who is F***** side usually :D ;)

IN any case, Stam and Lopez are back with the team after injuries

Lopez is 100 % certain to start, while Stam is not confirmed (he trained with the team and had a full training, so i asume that he will be in the lien-up).

Cesar got all clear, but Mancio will not be fielding him for another month. The injury is fine, but it will take some time to recover.

Im going for 3-2 cause it sounds good:cool: I want to see an
angry Juve just go all out for the win. We will leak goals I think but as long as Piero, Trez & Nedved are on fire, no sweating it. If I see another half hearted performance above all else no matter the result I'll seriously flip:D

Lippi dismisses crisis claims Friday 5 December, 2003

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Juventus may have lost their last two games but boss Marcello Lippi has dismissed talk of a crisis.

The Bianconeri surprisingly lost 3-1 at home to Inter last week, before their 2-0 Champions’ League defeat against Galatasaray.

"We’re not in crisis," stated the tactician. "Our one defeat in the League hasn’t really changed too much for us. After all, you can’t win all of the time."

Critics have pinpointed the defence as Juventus’ weakness this term but Lippi is standing by his men.

"My squad is at it’s very best right now," he added. "We just need to make a few adjustments in that department.

"The attacks that we have received are unjustified and we will demonstrate that tomorrow against Lazio - no matter what the result is. Even a defeat wouldn’t make a difference."

Lippi has such faith in his players that he rates this current group as one of his best ever.

"This side has taken a different path to the ones of the past," he explained. "It is true that we are conceding more goals but we are scoring a lot more.

"We are also using the rotation system which makes all of my squad feel important, a ploy that will allow us to go far."

Lippi hasn’t given any indication of his starting XI for the Lazio tie but Edgar Davids could return as he is suspended for the midweek Olympiakos clash.

Alex Del Piero is also set to play despite his poor recent form. "My champions are untouchable," added the Coach. "Del Piero will soon be back to his decisive best."

I love the last bit. My champions are untouchable:D This is family, Piero you know what to do.

Somehow i can see it now.. Del Piero played a dull uninspiring 60 minutes and 30 minutes is not enough for his successsor Di Vaio to change the game... that first 60 minutes was very clear..keep replaying in my head...maybe because i have seen that scene a lot... always keep replaying... alwayss...

we will lose 0-2... Inzaghi will poke in a goal.. then maybe one of their defenders..maybe Mihajlovic...:undecide:

You all know that DP takes long to come back after injury. Sitting on the bench wont help him at all. He has to play, and Lippi knows that. It is necessary for the moral of the team and for him to regain the form.

Nedved sucked first six months at juve. Lippi knew that, as much as any on us did. He kept on playing him. I dont think you would say he was wrong?

Mandietta underperformed with Lazio and Zac benched him. 40 million Euro player sitting on the bench for most of the season....really helped him regain the form and Lazio had their worst season in long time....

some of you should be ashamed. YOUR LACK OF PATIENCE WITH DEL PIERO IS DISGUSTING.

thuram took a whole season to blend. nedved 6 months. were they mistakes? NO!

but you wont even give del piero 2 weeks from a serious injury?!

Roger that .. I can't believe the attitude towards Alex, hopefully he would blow up Serie A and Europe soon

I don't know, I just have a positive feeling towards the match .. for once I'm not worried about facing Lazio, let alone in the Olympico .. we should get our first place in Serie A again (soon) :fero:

all i hear is "Sell Del Piero and get 4 better players"

what a shame. My friend who is an Inter fan tells me that Juve fans have no value for thair players; i think he speaks the truth.

Come on DP !

"EVEN A DEFEAT WOULDN'T MAKE A DIFFERENCE ......."

Sounds like he's saying that this is NOT A DECISIVE GAME ???????!!!!!

Once again coach" Brain Surgeon" puts a curse on the team.....

This IS a must win game, I dont see Roma or Milan slowing down. You dont see Capello or that bumbling idiot Ancelloti making such claims.........
