no need to overreact ofcourse,it is a very good result, even I wouldn't crybaby if we lost.Lazio is never a small opponet,it's not easy for any team to beat them at home, specially us,they play their best against us.

everything is still going great so far :coffee:
aye i was not saying you were overreacting bro(just in case you thought)
but the way some people go on here it reminds me of the residents of springfield and their wildly varying mood swings and how even the most respected member of community is one second away from being lynched;)

Terrible performance tonight and Lazio were unlucky they didn’t score more goals because our defense was asleep during most of the match. For some reason we could never actually get our act together and failed to dominate the proceedings against an average Lazio side. We came out on the Olimpico pitch tonight completely flat and not ready to play, something you have to blame Capello for. Lazio took the match to us, made us play faster than we wanted to, and could have easily had more goals on the night. We tried to play at the slowest pace possible from the start but Lazio was pressuring us for every ball and probably won more 50/50 balls than we did in the first half or perhaps the entire game. It seems like they wanted to get a result tonight..

Lazio’s goal came after an idiotic attempt by Thuram to dribble around two attackers on the goal line just a few yards from our goal…sure enough he gave the ball away and Rocchi scored easily. But for the first 15 minutes or so we were completely lethargic and Lazio could have bagged another goal, however Nedved and Trezeguet saved us with two headers towards goal after a nice Camoranesi freekick. The Lazio goal woke us up and thereafter we finally put at least a couple sensible passes together…but it has to be said our passing was absolutely horrendous in the first half. Vieira and Blasi both looked lackluster and we always had to resort to long balls in which Cribari and Siviglia were just waiting for.

Second half we had more of the ball, however we did not really put much together apart from some half chances. The passing through midfield did not really improve and Lazio was not able to pressure us as much as they did in the first half due to whatever reason. What ticked me off about this match was that it was obvious some players needed to be replaced and that we could have used a change here or there because very little was working…yet Capello waited until the 80th minute to actually do anything. But sure enough as Zalayeta and Del Piero came on we created our best chance of the second half besides the Trezeguet shot. I really don’t know why we always hold off on the substitutions…it’s not like we have a bunch of Pancaros on our bench. This was probably one of our worst performances of all season after the Bayern and Milan matches.

Abbiati made a couple good saves and could only look at his lackluster side in front of him.

Zambrotta made some good runs up the flank and had a nice shot just wide. One of our few and better players on the night..

Thuram must have thought he was Lucio for a second because that was just nonsense at the back. If he does stuff like that again perhaps Kovac should take over for him....just kick the ball away next time buddy.

Cannavaro was solid and made up for the mistakes of Chiellini

Chiellini was a disaster once again and just gave the ball away almost every time he got it in the first half. Terrible passes and miscommunications could have cost us more tonight..

Camoranesi was quiet for most of the match apart from the freekicks and some good link up play with Zambro.

Vieira was not himself today and still does not have the form he did before the injury..

Blasi worked hard like usual but still makes mistakes that you can predict before the matches are actually played...

Nedved helped set up the goal but that’s basically all he did on the night.

Ibrahimovic had six fouls in the first 20 minutes of play and gave the ball away too easily in the first half...looked very flustered.

Trezeguet had two chances and took one of them…well done.

Zalayeta made a couple nice moves on the right wing.

Del Piero really did not get enough of the ball because he was in for a mere 10 minutes…something to frown upon.

Substitutions are redundant if they are introduced with less than ten minutes left. It's almost impossible to get fully accustomed to a match in under 10 minutes...bring them on earlier so they have a chance to work up a sweat at least.

As a juventini i can't say it's a good result, cuz i expected like everyone did to win this match and we were close to do that .

1- a draw is much better than losing this match, but because of that mistake by our defender we got 1 point and it's not bad either.

2- Capello was not right IMO by Trez's subtitution.

3- some of our Players were so nervous (Vieira-nedved-cannavro) why ?

4-Emerson had to play this match.

5- ibra was not normal, was it the influence of signing the new contract !

i dont understand why capello has started to use subs somewhere after 80 minutes......even if the score is level....yes, sometimes it works, but not always....10 minutes can be a long time to score lots of goals, but it can be also a short time.......just dont expect from someone like capello that kind of thing??? If the things arent going well you should make substitutions straight away, not hope for a lucky goal.........

another 10 minutes dp thing......did he do same thing with montella also, when he was coaching roma? Atleast i have read something like that about him and montella.....

I couldn't say that I'm really surprised by the result to be honest, as we have key players missing, or maybe most of our players are already in Christmas mood. This Lazio side is so much weaker compared to the Lazio side of the Nesta era, so by right we should have no problem. However the performance is completely opposite of that, we got pressed instead, and we r playing a fast game that is controlled by them, something which we r not even used to. Lazio really do better with the presence of Di Canio.

Lazio’s goal came after a poor attempt by Thuram. A defender should juz whack the ball away, not trying to dribble past everybody, and in the end, he lost the ball for Rocchi to score. The team has to concede a goal to get back to their normal ways. The passing is horrendous, we look like an average team under Lazio.

Not much improvement done on the 2nd half, and seeing Lazio slowed down, Capello didn't make any substitutions until in the 80th minute, where DP and Zala can't make any impact on the game. We could have won, we could have saved the game, but for some reason, we seemed lethargic. I wouldn't take this draw so seriously, hope that this is a wakeup call.

Abbiati The goalkeeper is back to his job to produce saves. Has more to do becos of a defence that didn't perform 6

Zambrotta Another day, another job done 6

Thuram Made an awful mistake, even Kovac would have done much more better. After all he knows what to do when Lucio often makes this move 5

Cannavaro Solid defending, and have to do more defending for the mistakes Chiellini make 6.5

Chiellini This fella is acting like a clown, giving away so many balls and his passes were awful. Totally living in his shadow. If this goes on, I would have let Balzaretti play, at least the latter doesn't complain 5

Camoranesi Quiet game but is slowly learning how to link up well with Zambro. The only consolations r that he had a good free kick and he learnt how to play with Zambro at the back6

Vieira Slowly getting there, but not a good performance, I'm patiently waiting for his full recovery 5.5

Blasi Hard battler and runs a lot, but he still plays like a headless chicken suffering from the H5N1 disease 5.5

Nedved Didn't do much except setting up the goal, in this game he should be a combative midfield player. 5.5

Ibrahimovic Gave the ball again, definitely not his day, or should I say, everybody in the team is not his day 5.5

Trezeguet Did his job as usual. Congrats to u, at least u can catch up with Toni 6

Strict ratings I have to say, becos everybody didn't perform well, with Capello included. But I'm patient to see how we perform in the Siena game.

    ... Hopeless.

I don't know whats your problem....all I said is that we're repeating the same drama like last year which IS A MISTAKE...Whether you or the rest like it or not. I'm not turning this into Mexican movie or Drama but am I not allowed to say that we're doing the same mistake??? does that mean that I'm a "crybaby"....? Please!

Yeah it just doesn't make any sense.

Ofcoarse it doesn't make any sense...Now I don't give a damn If people are gonna criticize me here or insult me...But Capello should change his style with the Subs...."Whenever there is a player that is NOT playing well, SUBS him FFS, I don't know whats the reason thats taking him soo long to subs....." Just like the Milan game and some others, he made useless subs that not even adding "MaradonaPele" together would have solve it...Just be it and have the balls to Subs player Early in the game FFS.

I agree. Either make the subs earlier when it's quite obvious there should be changes, or just let the same players play all the time, thus increasing fatigue and possibility of injury.
