Terrible first half of play and we are lucky not to be down more. We only created one real opportunity and luckly Nedved and Trezeguet combined to score on the effort, but apart from that and the Zambrotta short we have looked absolutely terrible. We came out on the pitch tonight flat as fvck and it could have cost us more.

Thuram, Chiellini, and Blasi have all had pathetic first halves, and Lilian cost us big time when he failed to clear the ball and tried to dribble around Di Canio and Rocchi right next to our own damn goal. If Thuram tries that crap again he deserves to be benched...he's not Lucio FFS. Never seen such a ridiculous blunder from him before..

Nobody on our side has played exceptionally well except for Trezeguet who was in the right spot at the right time once again. Zlatan had six fouls in the first 20 minutes of play, and to be honest we had nothing going through midfield at all tonight. Pretty sorry first half and we have to pick it up in the second. Chiellini has been a joke...might as well put Mutu back there.

God I hope Zebina is fit soon (although I never thought I would say that :biggrin:). Although he's apparently playing one of his better matches Chiellini is still not ready for the starting XI.

Lazio are playing at cracking pace in this game. I doubt very much that they can keep that up in the 2nd half. They have closed us down all over the park.

Having said all of that, they really only had one chance that came about because of Thuram's error.

Basically both sides have scrapped a lot in midfield and the referee is blowing the whistle every 60 seconds.

I fancy us scoring another goal from a set piece as I think Lazio's defending from set pieces is pretty awful.

I think you will see a very different 2nd half and Juve will take control of the game as Lazio tire. We just got to make sure we take our chances.

I was thinking more of Balzaretti playing on the right and Zambrotta returning to where he belongs, namely left back. I still think it's a bad thing to have both Zambrotta and Camoranesi making runs down the right side.
