Whenever we took the defense seriously and defended with unity and passion we also created better chances in attack. Doesn't mean we have to defend for dear life vs Empoli etc. but play with the same passion and go back to defend against those teams too.

Yes. You think of some of the misplaced balls this season. The culprits I recall are Kulusevski, Bernardeschi, Rabiot, probably Bentancur. It's not like they're incapable of making those simple passes, but in a match situation the pressure of the moment is what makes them blunder. Same with finishing on goal. It's a kind of mental weakness I don't think you can coach out of players. I don't think any of the above players will ever really improve to the necessary standard.

I'm really glad when i see that Locatelli and Chiesa play good. I feel really bad for then, they are miles ahead of others when it comes to quality (although I would add de Ligt there too). Better mid and a new striker would make this team so mich better it's crazy. I still think our priority should be fixing mid and I hope we get to sign one player in January while I also hope it's not Witsel.
