Sorry, Andy. Molinaro had a good game, at least defensively. And if I were to condemn someone for bad crosses yesterday, Del Piero should have been run up a flagpole on that criteria. Molinaro's crosses weren't near anybody useful, but unlike DP's crosses yesterday, they actually landed in the box. At least one of DP's crosses didn't even land inbounds yesterday.

You're entitled to your opinion, but IMO, you're overreacting.

I don't re-call Alex having bad crosses.

Maybe, but don't you think it's not smart to defend a one goal lead for 45 minutes ?
We were doing great the way it was. Perfect tactics by Ranieri. We really didn't need to change anything so early in the match.
That's why i think it would have been smarter to play Tiago instead of Nocerino. We could have easily doubled the lead that way while we were sharpless this way.
I don't want Tiago to play 1 single minute more unless every single option is injured or suspended. Tiago's confidence right now is way low, had a chance to leave but didn't, and we know that he will be sold at the end of the season. I don't want a player who's going to leave anyways and who's rusty from the bench, and who could have got his career back on track and with low confidence to play a single minute for us, especially in such a big game. I don't hate Tiago, but that's the opinion I hold right now.

Alex only managed 2-3 cross attempts and didn't come close to connecting on any of them, and grossly missed one by miles.

Zebina did one daisycutter cross, but it couldn't reach his intended target. But that was the only cross he managed to get off all match.

same here about Tiago. I was always cheering him up in same way i cheer for Molinaro, Nocerino and others. But after Tiago second time said that he must quit Juve (last month i think) i am holding very reserved opinion . However, coach did play him i think once for 60-70 minutes..

At beginning of season everyone would said that we have average or just above average squad. Now we are fighting for second spot for fuck sake and still many of you are not happy. Of course there is always room for improvement, lets get some players and get new coach...Oh i forgot we dont have money as we spent on Almiron and Tiago or "Shitsoko"...And only "Shitsoko" was actually ranieri purchase. other 2 got pre contracted , but even Didier did not want them..But we put blame on this coach as always..

We are always lucky to many of you, when we play Livorno, or Udinese, even with Roma we are lucky as they play bad. So everyone plays bad against us and we are just lucky than? What milan or roma supporters should say about their teams considering that we are above them? Of course we dont care but...

we played 4 games so far in second half and we got 10 points.
Last year 4 first games against same teams we got 7 points, but everyone was happy than with game.

elo guys!

My first post! djizez.. I have been reading forum for a while, but never bothered registering. I met the zebra in 99 and still sleeps with him.

I think that juves season so far is very respectable guys. I dont understand all this negativity?! We are one point from champions league qualification. And juve-roma was a huge step up, up thinking of how we earned tres pioints. Roma is a good team. Everybody did great, Moltinaro too. Im sure even gigi ran twise the distance to romas boys. We simply outplayed em with juves mentality. I almost thought we were back at 05/06 for a while!

And it was good to see iaquinta on top from start. I dutu hope momo starts in reggina, I really believes in him. Its cheap for a young patrrick.

I don't agree. He held Roma players onside on two occasions, not following up with the offsides trap like the rest of the back four. Molinaro was caught out of position several times, and even the commentators noticed that when they only notice brilliance going forward.

I'm currently sitting on the fence with Molinaro. Dude has endless energy and he makes solid runs. He can't cross for shit and his mental lapses are inexclipable.

But......I'm caught up in Juve spirit right now. We just did work on Roma. I honestly thought a draw would be a great result for Juve saturday. And yet Molinaro was not all that bad. Not good, but not bad.

Does Molinaro have upside?

Cheers, mate. And welcome to the forums! :pint:

Yeah, well, we can be a bunch of cranky, doomsayer bastards. But given all the crap thrown on us in the past couple of years, I'm pretty damn pleased with where we are right now.

Yesterday's win was a big one to signal our return to Serie A's elite. When we can dish it out like the other boys, we have arrived. And we have.

Next step: victory! :scarf:

Ahh, any sane person can't see Molinaro as anything more than a cross between an acceptable Dr. Jeckyll and an abhorrent Mr. Hyde. You don't know which one is going to show up for the match.

I wouldn't want to jettison this boy like some people and claim his every breath to be an offense to Juve quality. But clearly, he would be loaned out in a heartbeat (and should be) if we had our CB situation straightened out. Though Criscito was already loaned out in that role... (and, IMO, Criscito is still more responsible for more goals than anyone else on our D-line this season).

But I'm still disappointed that Grygera and Brazzo have both turned out to be nougat... unnecessary filler not even worth talking about. At least Molinaro has given us something to discuss. There's nothing interesting nor notable about Grygera and Salza. They could be abducted by aliens and none of us would notice nor care -- if not thank the aliens.

The fact that he can play like crap every match and still be one of the first players on the team sheet?

:confused2
The fact that some posters have witnessed the occasional redeeming performance, while others clearly have seen no such sign.

This I see as an improvement over the likes of Grygera and Brazzo, who have yet to show their first worthy matches as first teamers to anybody on these forums.

Well, Grygera played well in a couple matches earlier this season, one of which where he started in the center.

And I'd try out Hasan at left-back and see how he does there instead of Molinaro.

It's unfair to Brazzo and Grygera though - on a CL squad they are fill ins against poor league opponents. But for Juve that puts everything on the line for Coppa and Serie A - they get scrutinized way more than they shuold.

Brazzo and Grygera remind me of solid role players in the NBA. On a good team, they are a perfect fit. On a bad team, people discuss their weaknessess.

Either way, WE BEAT ROMA!!!!!!!!! I'm so fucking proud to be in the Juve family - to think about from where we came from....remember last year when Buffon called Boumsong a rock in the middle...hahahahha...we're going to take second....

No one will want to deal with us in group stages next year.

I agree with the swagster. Even though Molinaro has had his ups and downs he still puts in more hustle and grit than Grygera and Sali. Okay skill wise he is at substitute level but what other feasible choice do we have at the moment?

*edit forgot bout Stendardo...in that case move chiellini to the left and problem solved...

the credit i can give molinaro is of his pace and speed....Against Roma in the 1st half he was actually stepping up till still passes...his got weaknesses to work on...he is quick.....He is out only option to play on the left because he is a lefty and Chiellini is better in CB.....Ranieri won't put anybody else in his position because no one else can really use their left....Zebina and Grygera are dominant righties and left side won't help us....

overall, he needs to shape up to play for us....in def. he is cappable to have a good game but offence with his crosses he is not their at all.....

We really don't have an option until Stendardo plays when his suspention is up and move chiellini to the left
