With Conceicao potentially out and given that Zhegrova and Openda just arrived, I think we might see Yildiz behind Dusan and David. Joao Mario should start on the right and I reckon McKennie will take the left flank. Koop might start ahead of Loca in this game.

3412: Di Gregorio, Kalulu, Bremer, Kelly, Joao Mario, Koopmeiners, Thuram, McKennie, Yildiz, Vlahovic, David

Openda and Zhegrova on the bench

I really hope we stop experiment with Kalulu as a wingback. I also dont trust Gatti with Thuram dropping in his zone. So if it were up to me and Chico and Cambi are out, I’d do:

Di Greg
Kalulu Bremer Kelly
Mario Mckennie Loca Thuram Kostic
Dusan Yildiz

Mirror their line-up, go 5 vs 5 in the midfield and go for a draw or a squeeky win. If we throughout the game want to take more risks I’d probably sub out McDonalds for Openda

My nightmare is seeing Kalulu and Mario as our wingbacks

Sounds good to me. We'll need the speed freak to offer some sort of threat on the counter.

If we're doing counter though better Vlahovic than David but you then risk giving Dusan some of that scary responsibility by starting him vs Inter
Or.. We can put Vlahovic on the bench because 3 good games dont make him Van Basten...
David or Dusan as a starter - Definitely David. If he doesnt do well we sub him out.
Im ok with Yildiz behind Openda and David.
Im also ok with Yildiz and Openda behind David.

Changing the formation for Inter doesn't sound like a good idea.
I'd start Kostic and Openda for missing Cambiaso and Chico and stick to the main formation. Mario didn't look too good on the left last time either.

And Cambiaso suspended.

Flanks will be covered guys, don't worry.

There are so many options...

... to field players out of position, lol.

Inter are very hot and cold. When playing well, they can create and score a lot, but are a lot worse at the back now. If we stay tight in defence, we can win without the need to create a million chances. If we play defensively and allow them the possession, they'll just suffocate us. Fast counter attacks and stretching the game puts a lot of pressure on their full backs, essentially killing their gameplan. Yildiz, Openda, and David looks good for this game.
