this team remind me of lippi last season team with juve
i think the only the problem is the defense and after watching soccer for so many years i think even when the midfield and the forwards are very good they just cant perform with weak defense.
if you check every match ull see that no forward had hard time attacking or getting a chance to shoot, and i can you give you my openion on every defender

Legrottaglie - very strong in the air but always too scared to make a tackle and if he does he always make fouls or penalties, he just keep chasing the forwards and let them have the time to think

chiellini - very strong defender but playing in new position even though he dont make too many mistakes

molinaro - the only thing he can do is to run, very weak defending and very weak covering and he make wrong decisions on one on one

grygera - very slow... and nothing spacial

zebina - the teams start attacking on the molinaro side since he came back to the first team, not very good defender but can do the job

so i think everybody is wrong to wait for a team to perform better with these defenders or to put the blame on the midfielders or the forwards

did anyone notice how buffon was shouting at the defenders lol its the first time i see him so pissed and shouting at his team mates

What? your talking as if he hasn't got any legs of his own, he should have pushed himself to work for the team when it was 2-2 but instead he stood there like a statue,as much as i love him he needs to work because for the last few games it's like we've been playing with one less player and he isn't even doing his normal job which is scoring goals, and tbh its starting to wind me up
He is obviously in a worse form than he was and he just got back from the flu so cut him some slack.

I love trez and all , I know he's a finisher and he's not supposed to dribble past three defenders and nutmeg the goalie . However , he is literally invisible and gives nothing to the Juve attack as of late . Even when he didn't score goals , his movements used to open up some space and create some oppurtunities for Juve but lately he is literally doing nothing but jogging around the pitch hopelessly .

We all know he is deadly infront of goal and when given the slightest chance , he will make sure of it . We have to be realistic though , we no longer have the players that can give trezeguet those inch perfect crosses or even decent through passes anymore . Our team is far from complete and in some cases this season , trez is actually proving to be a burden to the team . It's not his fault at all , We just don't have anyone that could create a decent chance for him to score .

I think we need to play with two strikers that can create chances for themselves . It really looks like our only option , since trez isn't getting the support he needs , we need a player that can trouble the defense singlehandedly . I think even Palla could do a better job there . He is quicker and is better on the ball and doesn't rely completely on his teammates . Sadly , at the moment , playing trez isn't our best option .

Yes i understand that but he isn't giving enough energy into our preformances it's as if he's a ghost. we do need more creativity, but trez could have at least helped by holding up play while we get forward
He probably could, but we got him and he is the player he is by design. 4-3-3 is a good solution really. Adds Iaquinta's explosiveness with Del Piero's touch. That is if we play a short ball though.

I agree about Trez, I love the guy but someone like Toni, Drogba or the 25m Euro rated Amauri could play up front on his own and really bother defenders even if they were not getting service.

While trez is just invisible, it must affect his confidence and concentration if hes not getting the ball.

Shame that we will never play that formation with the pope of the boring 4-4-2 in charge of our team

I have to say it again RUINeri must be some kind of a genius because I ( and the whole world I think) can't begin to understand his subs. he must have some privileged information on the universe or some shit.:confused2

but since I can't get his tactics and let's face it the board is not going to sack him, I propose that we raise some money to buy the services of a professional hitman to take him, Gigli and Secco out.:pimp:

Why didn't he field Stendardo in the game, ok he didn't start him cause he wasn't tuned in with Legro. but why didn't he field him when Molinaro, Legro and Grygera looked like the three stooges in defense.:irritated

and finally Legro given his good season for us so far, I never thought I would see him put the Legrofatalie costume on never again, one can only hope this is the weakest we will get from him this season.

We could be a lot more creative, sure. But if we're giving up 3 goals at home, we have bigger fish to fry.
It's not just the defense Greg, we were leading 2-1 ironically (I was shocked that Juve was leading with that horrible performance), but Mr. Ranieri took every possible creative player out, out in 3 destroyers and 4 at back, how could we create more chances? we let them play the way they wanted and fucked us in the ass..

This is not the only time happening, he did this against them in Firenze, and we lost the leading, he did this again against Torino at the first match, he does it in every fucking match, once he leads, he takes creative players out, puts in destroyers and pray so the match ends with the same score, Buffon saved his ass many times, others too, but you know luck doesn't come in every match..

Juve had conceded 4 home goals before today...so yeah...the problem really was the defense.
He could buy defenders from the start of the season, I was barking for that from the start of the season, it was very obvious that we needed one world class defender at least, but he didn't see that necessary but brought 3 defensive mid fielders, and has plans to bring more of them.

Overall, I think Grygera is a bigger defensive liability than Molinaro. But that's only because Molinaro has shown me moments of competency and Grygera has given me nothing.
The thing is Grygera is ok, but when you play him next to Molinaro and Legrotaglie, then this is what you get out of him, he is average players just like the other two, but if you play 3 average players all together you can't have a solid defense.

Not that it needs saying:

Let's see, oh, who was defending Fiorentina's right flank again?...

I've defended Molinaro when it was warranted. But today he is indefensible.
Welcome to the club!

Molinaro was indeed his usual horrible self but that grygera was worth every cent we paid for him, simply sensational. I have been a Ranieri supporter but i really dont get why he keeps on subbing Nocerino in.
Dunno, i think we overpayed for Grygera. He wasn't worthy of the money we payed to Ajax.
How much did we pay for him ?
If I got it the right way, he meant by "he worths every penny we paid for him" the transfer amount, which is zero :D

Things that shouldn't have happened IMO

-Introducing Nocerino instead of Camoranesi, Tiago would have been a better choice.

-Subs Del Piero. He's our only creative player on the field alongside Mauro.

-Iaquinta and Trezeguet may have scored goals at the beg of the season, but looking at them closely, it'll never really work this partnership.

True
I could accept Iaquinta for Del Piero sub but only if we still had Camoranesi.
Even then it won't be the best sub possible because Iaquinta for Trez would have been better. Trez was just as bad as Del Piero, but with Del Piero at least you know that he can be useful from set pieces, even when he's playing bad.

Palladino (on the right side after Camoranesi was out)-Sissoko-Nocerino-Zanetti
...................................Trezeguet-Iaquinta...................................................

Really, but REALLY, what did Ranieri expect here when the only player who is considered as a creative one is a certain Palladingo, who's playing out of position, who's having an awful form and who can't dribble even if that's supposedly his strongest side ?

With 7 destroyers, 2 target man and Palladino you can't score a goal even if you play 2 days and 2 nights.
Plus, with the defense we have, you can put 6 DMC's in front of them and we'll still concede.

HIS HEAD MUST ROW.
would be easier if he used his arms

you want to see teh final whistle?

what?? Capello's days were like heaven comparing to these..
we were boring....but we won:egree:

You mean Prandelli?
But it was Ranieri's fault 25 minutes left in the match you can't just take off 2 playmakers and expect to create any threat at goal.. We were just asking to lose..

Edit: Not asking, begging!
this game shows our deficiencies in squad depth, creative flair and apart from cjiellini, our defence

regardless, how fucking hard is it to head the ball out instead of trying to catch it in your shorts(which it seemed like they were trying to do)

you could put someone in a wheelchair on the pitch and they would have won that ball, the position of the player is no excuse for how that play was handled.
i like your style

As much as I love Juventus, I think I won't watch any of our remaining matches this season due to Ranieri's *sarcasm* brilliant *sarcasm* tactics. I just can't afford to get mad every time I watch our team fuck up.
hmmmm......i am detecting a note of sarcasm in your post

1.you honestly think ranieri will play tiago again? i mean if camo's leg was falling off and he had tiago and noccerino on the bench we all know who he wpuld send on
2.does anybody else feel sad that our 3 most creative players, delpie, camo and neddy are all teh wrong side of 30? alex has single handedly tried to drag us through games but i bet he wishes we have even 1/2 of teh quality of team we had 2 years ago
3.agreed totally, on paper its a match made in heaven, in relaity it is a nightmare
