I think you people underestimated Fiorentina, they have a very good team, much better defense, good enough midfielders, plenty of attacking options and creativity in the center, they only suffered on the attack, for this game, esp without Mutu and Vieri
(not that i rate Papa Waigo as a lesser choice)
They also have a much better technician, much smarter managers
and dont forget that this game was one of the most important games for their season and was also very important for their prestige, since we are one of their nemesis.
It was like us versus Roma, they just wouldnt lose this game and since we were soft, we gave them the chance to win!
Its our fault and our fault alone, this time the refs didnt interfere.
No need to search for excuses, the problems are real, some of us here, we have repeated those problems a billion times, but we always repeat the same mistakes.
The fans ignore the problems, the players are not competitive enough, the coach is not smart enough to see the problems and do smth about that, the managers are not skilled enough to use our resources, our owners are not interested enough to invest more. It is a collective problem/mistake, every single line is faulty, there is no hope for us.
Everybody has a fault, the coach, the players and the managers, half of them are not even Juve material.
It was a deserved defeat, set pieces and individual brilliances cant save the day, every single time, we have to do something about it, sometime.
This year is wasted anyway, our owners didnt have the will to invest properly and Secco didnt have the skills to use our available budget efficiently.
These choices would cost us soon or later, some of us repeat the same things no matter the result. A lose, make them look more clear though.
I dont think we could have done any better, we dont deserve to be were we are, Fiorentina is a better team than us, they know what they want and how to get it.
They look like a team on the field, we look like a circus, there are no excuses here. Somebody has to take the responsibility!!

Congrats to Fiorentina, they are the example to follow if we want to improve ourselves!

Good post Cronios :pint: I could listen to u all night.

This problem is bigger than Ranieri and the players, it goes striaght through to the Juventus hierarchy.

Thats why a coach like Lippi in an English style managers role would help turn things around.

He would have the final say in our transfers and what direction the club would take.

BTW if you watch the 73rd minute of the game you will clearly see the difference between Sissoko & Nocerino.
What difference would that be?

did trezeguet touch the ball more than the referee did?
Don't you dare trying to blame Trez when he didn't get any useful balls.

how many defeats we still need to fire Ranieri?
FFS, it's not like we have 10 of them. Fiorentina have more defeats than us.

* Remark: I am not trying to defend Ranieri but you should look at the other side of the story too.

This is the same scenario as against Roma only the result was devastating in the end. In the Roma game when I saw the master tactician bring on the third destroyer, I just waited for us to concede but luckily we didn't. But today we did and there was no fixing it. He brought out our most creative player Camoranesi(OK, perhaps the injury was the cause) and subbed him with a headless chicken who offers absolutelly nothing going forward. Our midfield consisted of three destroyers and one natural attacker played out of position(who isn't even good anyway). Not only that but he also took out the second player who can make something out of nothing(Del Piero), even though he knew he had no other options left on the bench for attack. DP wasn't good true, but he knows how to hold up the play and can always have a flash of brilliance when you least expect it. We led by one goal, not 3, you don't close off everything in the 60th minute with a one goal margin!

What was he thinking?? He should have at least put on Tiago for Camoranesi, rotated the players a little bit and played a 4-3-3 with Palladino and DP supporting Trez and Tiago behind them. Put the ball down on the pitch a little, let the passing game go on, at least try and create some fluency in our offense, not undermine us with 3 central midfielders who CAN'T PASS. We were completelly lost going forward, why didn't Ranieri see this? He should have kept Iaquinta on the bench as insurance for the last 20 minutes, if we concede so we can use his energy up front. This way he brought out everything that's worth out and at the same time brought on everything that doesn't do anything for us in that situation. DP and Camoranesi can at least hold up the ball, Nocerino and Iaquinta can't. If you wanna hold on to the lead, the best way is to keep the ball in your posession, not sit back, defend and just wait to concede.

And in such a game to not use all of your substitutions? What the hell is that about? And mind you it's not the first time he did this. I've bared with him for long enough, I always hated his guts and now I seriously wish he drops dead. He's an idiot and there's no other way of putting that.
Word, bro. Remember our conversation before the season when Ranieri was appointed? As it seems, you are winning at the moment. Very good post. It was a heart-breaking match.

Juve had conceded 4 home goals before today...so yeah...the problem really was the defense.
Well, our midfield was dominated today too, especially after Camo left the pitch.

What? your talking as if he hasn't got any legs of his own, he should have pushed himself to work for the team when it was 2-2 but instead he stood there like a statue,as much as i love him he needs to work because for the last few games it's like we've been playing with one less player and he isn't even doing his normal job which is scoring goals, and tbh its starting to wind me up

Trez is all about the finishing. He craves balls into him. If he starts trying to do what you said, he will look like Palladino and all you lot will complain more. Truthfully, we need more creativity. End of.

Yes i understand that but he isn't giving enough energy into our preformances it's as if he's a ghost. we do need more creativity, but trez could have at least helped by holding up play while we get forward

Ranieri obviously did a horrible job motivating the players before the game. Osvaldo's goal is particularly obscene given there was 3 Viola players on 7 pedestrian defenders and they still managed to score.

Everytime I see Molinaro playing I keep wondering: WHY THE FUCK DID WE SELL BALZARETTI???? We need a decent right back and a decent left back for next season. We had one but we sold him for peanuts- just like we sold Mutu- a player that owes his whole fucking career.
