are you aware how Juve is scoring the goals lately?? free kicks, or corners. I don't think you need a creativity to score such goals Greg..
We could be a lot more creative, sure. But if we're giving up 3 goals at home, we have bigger fish to fry.

This is the same scenario as against Roma only the result was devastating in the end. In the Roma game when I saw the master tactician bring on the third destroyer, I just waited for us to concede but luckily we didn't. But today we did and there was no fixing it. He brought out our most creative player Camoranesi(OK, perhaps the injury was the cause) and subbed him with a headless chicken who offers absolutelly nothing going forward. Our midfield consisted of three destroyers and one natural attacker played out of position(who isn't even good anyway). Not only that but he also took out the second player who can make something out of nothing(Del Piero), even though he knew he had no other options left on the bench for attack. DP wasn't good true, but he knows how to hold up the play and can always have a flash of brilliance when you least expect it. We led by one goal, not 3, you don't close off everything in the 60th minute with a one goal margin!

What was he thinking?? He should have at least put on Tiago for Camoranesi, rotated the players a little bit and played a 4-3-3 with Palladino and DP supporting Trez and Tiago behind them. Put the ball down on the pitch a little, let the passing game go on, at least try and create some fluency in our offense, not undermine us with 3 central midfielders who CAN'T PASS. We were completelly lost going forward, why didn't Ranieri see this? He should have kept Iaquinta on the bench as insurance for the last 20 minutes, if we concede so we can use his energy up front. This way he brought out everything that's worth out and at the same time brought on everything that doesn't do anything for us in that situation. DP and Camoranesi can at least hold up the ball, Nocerino and Iaquinta can't. If you wanna hold on to the lead, the best way is to keep the ball in your posession, not sit back, defend and just wait to concede.

And in such a game to not use all of your substitutions? What the hell is that about? And mind you it's not the first time he did this. I've bared with him for long enough, I always hated his guts and now I seriously wish he drops dead. He's an idiot and there's no other way of putting that.

We score 2 against Fiorentina, but give up 3 at home and you think the problem was creativity? :confused2
i agree, our defense is a massive problem but i dont i was just pissed that we lost, not really thinking that rationally when i posted that i guess :burke:

and that fact that trez didnt get any service whatsoever pissed me off

no one can judge dp's performance today as he barely got the ball. not his fault though
Del Piero isn't a Trez-like player. He doesn't depend on the others to give him the ball. When he wants to he goes and gets the ball. But today he didn't want to run and fight. Or he wanted but he couldn't. Nevertheless, he's been awful.

But who can blame him though. He's been our prima punta, our support striker, our winger and our creative midfielder for 5 or 6 matches in a row. He was running more than all the others together. It's normal that some very bad matches will follow.

What's scarry is the fact that whenever Alex is bad, the team can't win. We've seen that in the last 3 matches.

Well had he stayed on, and he should have IMO, that free-kick Iaquinta took(decently) would have been a goal. Iaquinta should have entered in the last 15.

Lovely discussion seeing who is worse between Molinaro and Grygera. Both are crap, there is no need to argue more. Molinaro is better as he is faster and has a better build, Grygera is a bum.

We should really snatch Zambro from under Milans nose. He's still one of the best wingers in the world and sitting on the bench at Barca, he'd be the perfect replacement for Molinaro. Ok, let the "traitor" calls rain down :D
