I'd rest both Ale and Trezeguet if we were upfront. Iaquinta needs to play 90min. Take both of them out and put Palla in...
I would definitely not start with Ale and, if we didn't have so many injuries and suspensions, I would rest Trez as well.

Do u see the trainings???
Tiago was always a starter in Lyon & Portugal ahead of better players than we have now,he also took part in nearly every game for Chelsea in his time there either as a starter or as a sub.
Always the same arguement. Its all ":blah: :blah: :blah:, I feel sorry for Tiago. Boo f****** hoo" No, I dont see every training, a guy called Ranieri does, & after he asked for Tiago, he still makes him sit his weak a$$ down. He knows he looks dumb for not playing a guy he requested & yet still isn't convinced enough to play him. So what if he started for Lyon & Chelsea, that was then, this is now. Bobo Vieri was class for Atleti & Inter, want him in Juve? No. So he started Chelsea games instead of Jarosik & Smertin, big deal. Soon as they bought a proper CM like Essien where was your boy then? Gone! Bang, smaller club, lesser league. He didnt leave for Madrid, Bayern or Arsenal, he went to a 2nd rate league, to a club who walked the title for years. Now he cant get a run over a kid (Nocerino) or an old man (Zanetti). When it comes to it, Ranieri prefers Almiron after those 2 as well, so your world class player is our fourth choice CM. Why dont you campaign so heavily for Boumsong? Get a grip & cheer the fact we have a young gifted Italian CM who can keep a multi-title winning international player on the bench. Change your signature to "Nocerino owns Tiago's sorry a$$"

I'd rest both Ale and Trezeguet if we were upfront. Iaquinta needs to play 90min. Take both of them out and put Palla in...
Back in the real world, talking about Juve players - I'd play Ale from start & go with Trez & Iaquinta v Inter, using Ale as impact from bench.

I cant understand why r u complaing & I cant also understand why u closed the Napoli thread.

This forum was made so people can discuss whatever they want about Juve,it is not up to u to tell us what to discuss & what not to discuss.

I think u dont even understand the Mod job imbecile.
First, I'd like to thank you for calling me imbecile.

Then I would like to explain to you that there is a big difference between discussion and throwing shit at each, calling each other names and swearing all over the place. My job is to prevent that and one way to do it is to ban you. Got it Einstein?

Cagni Does Not Fear Referee Favouritism For Juve

Empoli boss Gigi Cagni does not believe that tomorrow’s referee will favour Juventus in order to compensate for the horrendous officiating against the Bianconeri at the weekend.

Juventus fell to a 3-1 defeat at Napoli on Saturday evening after referee Mauro Bergonzi awarded two scandalous penalties for the Partenopei.

“I do not fear a favourable referee for the game with Juventus, absolutely not,” Cagni told Radio Kiss Kiss.

“This year the referees have gone into the game in good faith, however the odd mistake will always happen.”

Empoli are struggling to replicate last season’s superb eighth place finish and currently sit fourth-from-bottom in the league with just eight points and five goals from their nine games.

The Azzurri looked to be getting back on track after a superb win at Milan in week eight, however this was followed by a hugely disappointing 1-0 home defeat to Atalanta at the weekend.

“We are having a lot of highs and lows at the moment after the success at Milan and then the sudden loss at home with Atalanta,” Cagni added. “We need to improve our consistency.”

Juventus Cry Conspiracy

Juventus come into this game up in arms following the scandalous events of Saturday night at San Paolo.

The Bianconeri lost 3-1 to Napoli after having two non-existent penalties awarded against them by referee Mauro Bergonzi.

These two decisions were just the latest in a long-line of refereeing 'mistakes’ that have gone against the Old Lady this campaign. Some people have even gone as far to suggest that Juve are paying the price for their involvement in the Calciopoli crisis and are on the receiving end of some form of a conspiracy.

Fortunately the result did not do too much harm to Juventus’ title aspirations, as Inter could only manage a 0-0 draw with Palermo a day later.

Claudio Ranieri’s men have dropped to fourth place in the table, but are still looking a good bet to achieve their season objective of qualifying for the Champions League.

The Serie B champions will certainly be fired up to beat Empoli on Wednesday evening, although they will have to do without a host of suspended players.

Empoli Struggling

Gigi Cagni’s men are really struggling to replicate last year’s stunning campaign when they finished eighth and qualified for the UEFA Cup.

Sitting fourth-from-bottom with just two wins and two draws from nine games, it is looking increasingly likely that this will be a long season battling against relegation.

The main reason for the Azzurri’s struggles has been their simply dreadful scoring record. With just five goals in Serie A, they are the lowest scorers in the league. In fact they have failed to hit the back of the net in two-thirds of the matches they have played so far.

Empoli were also recently dumped out of the UEFA Cup in the first round after a comprehensive defeat to FC Zurich, however things seemed to be looking brighter after a superb 1-0 win at Milan in week eight.

This Sunday the depression set in again after a 1-0 home defeat to Atalanta. Once again it was the problems in front of goal that proved costly as Empoli missed several great chances during the game.

The game with Juventus seems like a daunting prospect for the Tuscans but having already captured one big scalp this season against Milan, they may fancy their chances.

TEAM NEWS

Juventus

The Bianconeri have four first team players suspended for this clash. Nicola Legrottaglie, Giorgio Chiellini and Antonio Nocerino reached their yellow card limit with bookings on Saturday, while Pavel Nedved sits out the final game of his two-match ban.

Marco Marchionni is likely to make his first start of the season, while Sergio Almiron will play against his former club in the centre of midfield. Alessandro Del Piero is likely to get the nod ahead of Vincenzo Iaquinta to partner David Trezeguet.

Juventus (probable): Buffon; Salihamidzic, Grygera, Criscito, Molinaro; Marchionni, C Zanetti, Almiron, Palladino; Del Piero, Trezeguet

Empoli

Gigi Cagni is without Antonio Busce, who was extremely impressive during the recent win over Milan.

Juventus loan stars Sebastian Giovinco and Claudio Marchisio, who are regarded as two of the most promising young players in Italy, may be given the chance to impress from the start against their owners. Luca Saudati will lead the line up-front by himself again.

Empoli (probable): Balli; Raggi, Piccolo, Marzoratti; Tosto, Marchisio, Moro, Giacomazzi, Giovinco; Vannucchi; Saudati

PLAYERS TO WATCH

Alessandro Del Piero (Juventus)

The Golden Boy has burst back into form since signing his new contract with the club two weeks ago and will certainly be the player to watch in a depleted Juventus line-up. Del Piero is a strong bet to score for the third game in succession.

Sebastian Giovinco (Empoli)

The 20-year-old wonderkid is a star of the future and has recently been tagged as the 'Italian Lionel Messi’. The Azzurrini star has been barely used by Gigi Cagni this season and has been restricted mainly to cameo performances as a substitute. He is likely to start on Wednesday and he will be a real handful to the second-string Juventus defence.

PREDICTION

Juventus will be fired up after the scandalous defeat to Napoli at the weekend and not even an act of God can stop them in this one. I predict a performance full of heart.

Juventus 2 – 0 Empoli

Get used to it. He loves bossing people around for no reason. but + rep for telling his uptight ass. Anyway i think that after the last game every call agaisnt empoli will go juve's way to cover up anything than next game they will go back to picking on us. If it wasnt for poor refereeing we would currently sit in first.

Ranieri trusts Juve reserves

Claudio Ranieri assures Juventus are focused on Empoli and will give 100 per cent, even though several stars are suspended.

The Bianconeri are just days away from the big title battle with Inter and risk losing concentration on Wednesday night, especially as Pavel Nedved, Giorgio Chiellini, Antonio Nocerino and Nicola Legrottaglie sit out bans.

“The three points are always three points. We are thinking about this match and then we will begin to prepare for Inter,” said the Coach.

It has been a fiery few days for Juve, who lost 3-1 away to Napoli following two very controversial refereeing decisions and Ranieri’s accusation that the club was “still paying” for Calciopoli.

“The Napoli case is closed. These things are behind us now and we have to focus on our next game. Having said that, I don’t think the messages of solidarity from other sides was false. The video images spoke for themselves.”

Marcelo Zalayeta has been handed a two-match ban for diving to win the second spot-kick, but Juve have their own suspension worries.

“This is part of the League situation and I am convinced that I have a valid squad at my disposal. There are other players who can start and I believe they will do well.”

It may even give Tiago Mendes a rare spot in the line-up after he threatened to walk out in January if he was not given more first-team football.

“He is among those called up for the game. We will have to evaluate the situation carefully, as Empoli put in a great performance to defeat Milan and did not deserve to lose against Atalanta. Will I use the trident attack? I don’t know, I’ll decide the night before the match.”

David Trezeguet hopes to rediscover his scoring touch, as he has not netted since September 30.

“He is in good shape and has only missed the target by inches. He is a centre-forward who never stops for a moment. He puts defenders under pressure, covers his teammates and attacks. The goal is not a problem.”

Juventus squad: Buffon, Birindelli, Almiron, Zebina, Zanetti, Salihamidzic, Camoranesi, Iaquinta, Del Piero, Belardi, Trezeguet, Criscito, Palladino, Grygera, Olivera, Molinaro, Tiago, Marchionni.

There is nothing wrong with giving Tiago a chance to play against minnows, but Ranieri doesn't even give him that chance. The calls for Ranieri to play Tiago a bit more are indeed justified, and people like myself won't stop asking for it until it happens. From the matches we have seen thus far, Tiago hasn't been that poor, so please try to look at the situation objectively. And besides, if anybody should be blamed here it should be Ranieri for requesting a player he doesn't seem to know how to use.

I bet we get a dodgy penalty in this game so it doesn't look so bad when we get the square root of fuck all against Inter.

So what. Im so f***ing sick of hearing about Tiago. The guy doesn't do enough in training to warrant a starting place, & the very fact that the only clubs linked with him are UEFA Cup hopefuls (not to mention notorious selling clubs!) like Fiorentina & West Ham.
Agreed. People make it sound like if Ranieri is just ignoring Tiago. If he works hard and impresses in training he will get his chance. Until he does that he'll watch Almiron, Zanetti and Nocerino from the sidelines.

If he plays tomorrow then great, I hope he does, but if he doesn't it's not a big deal.
