i think because fucking cagliari were creating better opportunities than we were. they had like the three best chances of the game. a goal was comming.
 ... so you are implying Ranieri put on Sissoko to defend the draw? That's just sad if that's true.

Nah, my theory is that CR wouldn't want two players in the centre of midfield that aren't really "in" the team. Tiago hasn't been playing much and Sissoko has just arrived.

It's still idiocy though. The right decision would be taking off Nocerino. I am just trying to understand Ranieri's thoughts.

No.
It's actualy sad that people think that we can rush over Cagliari. The team isn't running for weeks now, and we cannot always rely on the magic of Del Piero or a goal of Trezeguet. The luck runs out.
After every match everybody complains about how bad some players suck etc... but for SOME reason they expect that we keep winning matches. It just wont happen

My ratings exactly. Just that Salihamidzic will get the same rating you gave to Nocerino and i'd give 6.5 to Camoranesi because he seemed to be the only one trying to do something and because with only 1 single move he shows that he's 10 times the player Marchionni, Nocerino, Salihamidzic and Palladino are when playing as a MR.

Oh, and 8.00 for Belardi. 70% his and 30% Nedved's "fault" for winning a point.

The only positive note asside from sissoko is that Roma lost 3-0 :D

fvck Im pissed, wasn't it obvious we need creativity? It was a mistake not to sign anybody in the winter trnsfer for creativity

Tiago was unimpressive but did some good work coming back to make some key tackles. His passing was off and seemed like he was not connecting at all with those around him.
always the same story. and even when he's involved in a one-on-one off the ball in midfield it's like he's no threat. He has no presence.

We really lack of creativity.
When Sali got the ball, he's only put the long ball forward. That's it, nothing more.

In the first half we only just tried to put the long ball.

Btw, these latest matches we played perfectly show how will we look if we play in CL with the current team. We play 3 weeks in a row Wednesday/Sunday and we suck everywhere.

One of the biggest reasons why we're doing good in serie A is exactly the fact that we were much better rested than most of the better teams. As soon as we started playing midweek/weekend we started showing our weaknesses.

well somehow i think he did. He wanted to cut down their attacks and just hoped for a moment of magic of one of our champions.

It's simple man. Just think about the best decision and then act the opposite.

What are you talking about? We have champions on our team that will run over Cagliari week in week out. Today's negative performance was due to zero attitude and aggression and bad tactics on Ranieri's part.

Ranieri should have taken of Nocerino for Sissoko, 1 destroyer for another, but I guess he is contempt with drawing the last placed team.

Speaking of Sissoko, I thought he did well for his 1st minutes on a new team in a new league. Made a few nice tackles (1 wrongly called for a foul), and his passing was neat.

Tiago was ok, he would do well for 5 mintues, drift out for 10, make a last ditch tackle to save us in the box, go invivisble for 5 minutes, etc. He went missing for long period's of time, but he had a few promising moments.

No1 really stepped up this game. If I had to choose r 2 best, Nedved and Camo, but a lack of drive from the rest of team dampened any of their efforts.

Belardi is shit. He made that goal line stop, only because he rebounded the ball right to the player. Even on their goal, he should have cut the ball from going to the far post, but he reacted to slow. Gigi would have got that.

i am scared we play Udinese away next game... then roma ...

I hope the team recovers well over this week and finds some form or we are in trouble.

I also hope Fiorentina draw their game with milan...

Everything as been said here. Big point was that Sissoko should have replaced Nocerino, NOT TIAGO!!! Tiago was defending well and distribute nice balls on the wings and forwards.

    -2pts for Ranieri.

Oh yes, and most of our champions are 30+
A build up starts at the backline and our backline sucks bigtime. Next to that, our midfield wasnt strong enough, you can't depend on Camo who just recovered from an injury. He needs matchfitness to come back at his normal level.

That about sums it up. Especially the last part; I was amused at people praising him but in reality he was only correcting mistakes that he created himself.

i think he was only decent since he did that tackle in our box, which was like 5 mins before he was taken off. Didn't impress me at all.

Then again Nocerino wasn't good today either.

Thanks Ranieri can't wait to see us play Uefa Cup next season, I think we have a coach that doesn't watch the game, if he did he would of seen Nocerino do nothing again, Salihamidzic trying hard but doing nothing again, Tiago playing a good game but he still gets subbed of for a player that scored 1 goal for Liverpool in 3 years, we need Lippi back next season.

The good things about this game were Tiago playing well, Sissoko impressed would of like to seen him play with tiago and Belardi made some nice saves which saved us.

    Belardi - 6.5

    Salihamidzic - 4

    Grygera - 6

    Legrottaglie - 6

    Molinaro - 5.5

    Palladino - 5

    Nocerino - 4.5

    Tiago - 6.5

    Nedved - 7

    Trezeguet - 5

    Del Piero - 5

    Camoranesi - 6

    Sissoko - 6

    Ranieri - 4.5
