i thought del piero played well when he came on some superb touches and passes but on occasions slowed the attacks down to much when he was on the ball out wide this disappointed esp when he has the quality to deliver killer crosses for trez to pounce and totally unsettled there defense. i think ale can be a regular starter still but has to use his head and realise he no longer has the same explosive break over the first few yards to leave defenders behind. instead he should use his touch passing and crossing and intelligence to unlock the defenses. but he was good today and is far from finsihed as a first choice starter.
i would love to see his step over and spinning back heel down the line that would have put him free down the wing if he had the pace of old again, but he battled the defender and won a corner. superb skill.
Just how many times did Nocerino win us back possession ?
What Vieira and Emerson together were doing perfectly, Nocerino is doing by himself.
I love this kind of players who can't stop running for 90 minutes.
Tough choice with Nedved and Molinaro also having a very good match but my MOM is Nocerino.
Btw, this was our 3rd in a row serie A clean sheet. And we played 3 of the better teams in the league, Palermo, Milan and Atalanta

Molinaro was great hope his perfomance silences his critics and he can build on todays game, great to see he can still cross a ball cos his crosses at siena were gr8.
I'm not going to be silenced by one good game by Molinaro against ATALANTA of all teams. 
It's my opinion he's not good enough to be a starter for Juventus. If he plays like he did today against better sides consistently, he'll change my opinion. Until then, not good enough.

i have seen 4 live juve games this season and highlights of most of the others. the ones i have seen were fiorentina palermo ac milan and atalanta. he was v good against the viola palermo and atalanta and solid defensivly v ac milan but struggled in possesion a bit that day. but the other 3 are all in the top third of the table.
world class he is not, but a promising and improving full hearted and determined player yes he is and at the moment he deserves his starting place.

it was more than trying hard, he made some very intelligent supporting runs from deep making up 50 or 60 metres sprinting flat out to get into position and then he has obviously trained and worked hard on his crossing as when he got into those positions today he whiped over some great balls that on another day he could have come away with two or 3 assists.

imagine if a player of say palladinos potental showed the same stamina and work ethic for 90 mins what a player he would be then, molinaro is making the most of what he has got and is doing his best to improve his weaker aspects of his game breaking into and holding down a first team jersey and working hard and honestly to keep hold of it has to be admired and appreciatted.

I've never said that, but of course that's what you'll conclude because you fail to read. I just happened to state that I will praise Molinaro when he plays like he did today week in, week out against sides better than Atalanta. But thus far I don't think he's good enough.
Week after week prior to this game he's looked horrid. One good game and people want his nuts on their faces.

It was a tough match, Atalanta managed to keep up and remain competitive.
But we had to win this time, Inter has already gotten away...
We couldnt repeat the Empoli performance.
CR had no choice, he should field the best possible team and make no risk that would turn into mistakes. A flat 4-4-2 with 2 DMs and 2wingers was bound to be our chosen formation. The usual players filled the usual spots, the two main differences were,
Palla for Camo and Iaquinta for the off form DP. Its seemed to be the most logical choices and CR made the most logical and predictable subs too...
We had the control of the game, but we were just a bit better than Atalanta, maybe not better enough to earn that victory in home, but we were very lucky to score a goal that Nedved seemed to forget how to score for this season. In the last minutes of the match!
During the first half we created some chances but Iaquinta and Treze were inefficient and failed to score,esp Iaquinta was quite off this day and once again proved he is better as a sub than a starter.
Buffon and our defense were present every time Atalanta challenged us and besides a few shaky moments they were generally good.
Our midfield failed to create any decent changes and help up front, Nedved was the only midfielder able to support the front line. Our fullbacks also tried and managed to contribute more than usual.
DP was the magic sub, he really turned the flow of the game and gave us the sparkle we were missing, despite his efforts Treze couldnt score some easy (for his standards) shots. And Neddy had to do all the job by himself like the old times,
i will repeat my self for the 100th time, we cant win this kind of games without players like Camo or Neddy, they have proved that thousnads of times and its a shame many Juventini underrate them and prefer formations without them...

Buffon 7.1 he was brilliant, he made a few saves normal keeps wouldnt
Zebina 6.5 Better than average, did a few mistakes and complicate the situation more than he should, but thats just his trademark, he also tried to help upfront and show why he is chosed instead of Grygera
Legro 6.5 A quiet but efficient job
Chiellini 6.9 A dominating figure in our defense, our AA defense has been significantly increased since he moved in the center of our defense
Molinaro 6.6 One of his best performances with the Juve jersey, he really tried a lot and i like that, but his attempt to shoot after Neddy's brilliant forward pass and the outcomes shows the limitations of his skills...
Palla 5.4 I think Marchio would be a wiser choice from CR and use Palla as Neddy's sub or a change of formation to a trident, since Palla has proven in the past that he isnt that good RM, just like DP
Zanetti + Nocerino 6.5 The DM pair dominated the misfield and helped our defense, secured our flanks when our wingers tried a run and close all the gaps in middle. They also helped in set pieces, they were pretty effective in the destructive game but despite their efforts, they didnt managed to offer much in creativity and support our strikers, the distributed the ball to our wingers without mistakes though
Neddy 7.2 MOM, they Neddy we know and we love, a multi -purpose fighting machine, from the first to the very last second he is on the pitch...
Iaquinta 5.4 Ineffective, failed to create, failed to finish, failed to help, not a good game today:xfinger:
Treze 5.5 Implicated just a bit more than Iaquinta but his weak and inaccurate shots didnt deliver...
DP 7.0 wow that guy really reacts fiercely when he is subbed, he just swallowed the opposition today, humiliating some of the Atlanta's defenders, i think he will replace Iaquinta as a starter in the next game and keep the competition, for this spot, in high levels...
Marchio 5.5 that fellow needs more time to adjust, he never starts, even when he has to...
