We could have won the game easuily, we played well but we weren't lucky and strikers kept wasting chances

Ranieri's to blame. We're down 1-0 in Turin and we play a 4-4-2 right until the end, with players like Molinaro and Palladino on the bench. Iaquinta FOR Trez? Should've been Iaquinta for Birindelli, Almiron or even Nocerino.
Totally Agree :agree:
Ranieri's Substitutions were horrible, why does Tiago play in a home game and u're a goal behind???? is it the right time to try a new player??

Nedved is really getting old, he missed many good chances in the games before and today!!! Why doesnt Rani give Palladino a chance??????
Nedved didnt miss many chances, DP and Trez did, besides who can blame Nedved with all the effort and chances he created for DP and trez

Why doesnt Rani give Palla a chance??? Cuz Ranieri is stupid, if he Palla's given the time Iaq takes he'll prove himself, tinker man my ass

I saw the hightlights here. With a little chance we could have won. Nedved lost concetration in a must score opportunity and delpiero was really unlucky.

We started off well with Camoranesi and Nedved able to create spaces and supply good balls. When Camoranesi went off injured the team became sad and slowly they started to become clueless. The defense line is shaky as usual and thankfully Asamoah's attempts were really high and not threatening.

The second half was even worse, letting in a goal early and still playing in the same sad, depressing way. Two changes in that did not do any difference at all.

Udinese were a very bad side and Juventus didn't have a clue on what to do. At least Udinese knew that they should not have let a goal in and they succeeded.

One thing can be said is that Del Piero hit the post three times today.

Buffon 6: He was not tested and the goal is not his fault

Birindelli 5: Very slow in the back and offers nothing

Andrade 6.5: He was active but without offering something extra

Criscito 6: Did his job well

Chiellini 6: Also did what he had to do

Camoranesi 6.5: He was excellent until he got injured. The match would have ended differently had he stayed.

Zanetti: 6: He did a good cover and I don't understand why was he subbed.

Almiron 4: What was he doing?

Nedved 6: He was really good, winning freekicks and trying but without translating his work to what we need

Del Piero 6.5: Our best player, he was very unlucky not to score. He also did well to help the team.

Trezeguet 6: Had a couple of missed chances, not his day either.

Nocerino 5: He is not an RM. All he did was cross horrible crosses.

Tiago 5: Did nothing to be mentioned

Iaquinta 5.5: Nothing to be said there either.

I'd agree with that.

I though Tiago did quite well when he came on, but there was a lack of movement from the forwards.

I though Criscito dealt with the Udinese forwards well. If he continues like that I will be happy for him to start this season.

give Palla a chance..........Please no more Iaquintas
I dont want to see a tall man running aimlessly all over the field
I doubt Palladino would have done more than Iaqunta.
It wasn't the choice of the player IN that was wrong, it was the choice of player OUT that didn't make much sense.
Iaquinta for Nocerino or Iaquinta for Almiron and Nocerino at MC while Iaquinta at RM would have been better.
It's done now. We must hope that Ranieri will learn from his mistakes. And tbh, these are still our opening official matches. Friendlies couldn't have given the real picture.
As expected, we will suffer at the beginning. Lets just pray that things will get better as time goes on and lets hope it won't be too late then.

Just watched the first half (replay)....Ale was really unlucky not to score. Our defenders were not bad at all.

Anyway, I agree with some of you, since we're 0-1 down, Trezeguet shouldn't have been taken out, put Iaquinta instead of one of Biri or Almiron since he was not in his shape today.

I missed the game because I had to play a match of my own but from the reports I read it just wasn't our day. To hit the frame of the goal three times and not score is really unfortunate regardless of the overall performance.

I'll try to catch the replay later tonight.
