Capello: “A very positive year”

“Siena is a team that, lately, did well away from home, better than within its friendly walls. It has to be respected, like all the opponents we face”. Fabio Capello analyses the next game and points out right the way how the main problem for his team could come from Enrico Chiesa’s plays: “He is very skilled on placed kicks, from the flag and when he can kick towards the goal, he always focuses well. His percentage of realization shows how dangerous a forward like him can be”. In the last challenge of the year, Juventus wants to come back winning, after its draw at the Olimpico: “Saturday night against Lazio, for the initial 25 minutes, we were not the usual team. Afterwards we got better, creating five goal-balls. Also, Lazio’s goal was a gift from us and it doesn’t seem to me that Abbiati had to make great saves. I would thus say that even during a day not too happy as far as results persistence, we showed nice things”.

The first Juventus draw in the championship seems to have relaunched the ambitions of the chasing teams: “I am glad that everyone is convinced of having passed us already – Capello jokes – I actually believe that our situation is better than the others, as we have multiple points of advantage. We are happy and convinced of our possibility of doing well, both physically and technically. Frankly, at the beginning of the season, we did not believe we could get to this point with such a gap. The other teams are coping well in the championship, but we are doing great”. If we had to make a balance of this past year, mister Capello should be satisfied: “It was a very positive year, we won the championship and we are now heading the league, which worries me a little: when everything is going so well, you have to be very careful to keep up at the same level. We want to be able to do it. I do not expect drops in the performances: it is a particular season, we play a lot and there are no breaks. It is a new thing for everybody, but we are sure of having had a great preparation and to be able to keep up at our pace”.

Ghedina black-and-white!

“I hope to do well and to win everything as Capello’s Juventus”. This is what Kristian Ghedina wishes and has all Juventus support. The Italian ski champion has always been a great Juventus fan, “since I was a child – he confirms – when I used to collect stickers of Bettega and Platini”.

For his birthday, last November 20th, he received a particularly appreciated gift: the Juventus jersey, personalized with his name and number 36, the number of years he turned. Kristian wore “the gift” in Val Gardena , the day before his competition while assisting to the Super G in the Saslong parterre: “I received this jersey when I was in the United States so I wanted to publicly thank Juventus for having thought about me on my birthday”.

A tank full of…Juventus official merchandise!

It opens in Turin, Via Sansovino 44/a, the first “Juventus Point” a gas station Tamoil, petrol group with 2,200 stations in Italy. Juventus and Tamoil – leader company in the oil sector that counts 2.200 stations in Italy – inaugurate today in Turin, at the Tamoil gas station in Via Sansovino 44/a, the first “Juventus Point”, offering to all drivers the possibility of purchasing official Juventus merchandise during a regular fuel stop.

The opening of the first of twenty “Juventus Points” on the all domestic territory represents the beginning of a new cooperation focused on the future between Juventus and Tamoil. The two companies, in fact, other than sharing sport initiatives on the soccer pitch with Juventus, decided to join their strengths and their experience to chase success also in the commercial and promotional fields.

The new “Juventus Point”, located in the Via Sansovino gas station in Turin, is the first of a series of commercial corners that will progressively be realized on the whole domestic territory: Tamoil customers could thus easily purchase, during a regular stop, Juventus official products. In the new “Juventus Points” it will be possible to find around 20 products, with the prices going from 3 euros for the keychains to 15 euros of the “duplicate” shirt, official reproduction of the match jersey: a unique offer for over 14 million Juventus supporters in Italy.

All the products will be exposed in a personalized doublefaced window, located in the Tamoil shop. The gas stations where the new “Juventus Points” will be set up will have three graphics in the outside and one inside the point of sale.

“Juventus and Tamoil – states Romy Gai, Juventus Football Club Chief Sales & Marketing Officer – reach today a further achievement, result of the strong collaboration which links the two companies: for the first time a soccer team joins the distribution network of an petrol Group for the diffusion of its merchandising. “Juventus Point is in fact an important offer to all the team’s supporters that will be able to find all the official products of their favorite team while doing the normal act of fuelling in the set up Tamoil stations”.

“With this new initiative – explains Tamoil Italia S.p.A. Chief Officer Ness Yammine – we further strengthen the relationship with Juventus: a synergy that is winning in the commercial field and on the football pitch. The one in Turin is only the first of a series of “Juventus Points” that our customers will be able to find in the Tamoil gas stations. Our is a long-term goal: we will gradually inaugurate 200 Juventus corners until we will cover 600 Tamoil gas stations with “Juventus Points” along the whole domestic territory.
We are working with a specific goal: to position Tamoil offer as the most competitive on the market as combination of quality in the services and in the products, excellent in the programs of customer loyalty and convenience in the prices.
We point to consolidate our position as a dynamic company in the oil sector, keeping on growing”.

Meh.. I won't be seeing this match, seeing as Al Jazeera decided to show Milan-Livorno instead of what's obviously going to be Del Piero's record-breaking game... Oh, well...

I don't want myself to be in that "war" also.
what's wrong with playing Ibrahimovic wednesday thursday or saturday?I think it's a prefernce, just like you have your own 1st eleven, the same for me.it has nothing to do against anyone.
He had a very bad game last match ,it could be a chance for him to gain his form back against a small team.
Fair enough and just so that you know I think that Ibrahimovic should start alongside Trezeguet for us whenever his form is decent but when you have DP and Mutu on the bench, both of whom have been doing well, when one of the starter's fails to produce he should be dropped.

Since Nedved is suspended there's a good chance that we'll see Del Piero, Ibrahimovic and Trezeguet in the starting lineup tonight. Hopefully Cap uses the trident attack and doesn't ask Alex to play on the left wing because we all saw how effective the trident was for us last season and I think that this year with Vieira and Mutu now donning the black and white it could be even better.

Ok so I am in England right now, in Hertfordshire somewhere near london, but not near enough to drive there to see a game. The family im with does have Sky but not all the setanta channels. At home I know how to figure this out myself, but I have no idea where I might find it here, so please don't tell me to go to google. So please could someone tell me what common English channels might show the match tonight? (I'm on a mac without pplive so I don't want to mess with that either)
