well yeah, but thats why at times zlatan is wonderful. he gets the opponent's defence working. and leaves space for other juve players to cut in. the opposition's defence will lose a bit of focus.

ok that might not make sense. im just happy with zlatan's performance to say the least. before this i always get frustrated with him. it's a good change.

I saw the game like most ppl on here and for the first half an hour or so Roma were all over us, I think the heavy rain played a part in the match not being a classic as so many misdtakes and not enuff shots on targets on both sides

Emerson was a monster as he was just way too dominant and it was a real shame that an ididot like Cassano will get a fellow pro sent off

Zebina impressed me enormously being that i thought he was trash but he is winning me over with his displays

I have to say on a football level i was impressed with the interplay between Montella, Cassano and Totti

Ferrari always looks lost in a big team and Mexes has not found his feet at all in serieA

Thuram is just a rock in defence and reads dangers superbly and Cannavaro was as impressive as usual, shame about his childish and amateurish sticking his fingers up Totti's nose, thats most uncalled for

Buffon , did veerything asked of him to almost perfection and what a save from Montella 7

Zebina was as pumped up for this game as u can imagine, played brilliantly and was sad to see him limp off with a groin injury 6.5

Zambrotta his performances have waned somewhat of late and though he bombs forward, it seems like the Zambrotta of old that always runs into a cul de sac 5.5

Cannavaro marchalled Montella very well though he was no as impressive as his partner 6

Thuram was absolutely superb and would have been mom if not for another superb gladiator 7

Camoranesi did well and worked very hard on his side but still anooys me with his decision making which is usually wrong, he blasts the ball over the bar where a cooler head should prevail, also he still likes to take players on when a simple pass will do 6

Appiah actually played impressively and was Juve's best player while we were being overrun by Roma in the first half hour. Brought tenacity and tackling to the midfield and was harshly booked. Pity he cannot pass water in the loo, oh my goodness, we had a chance to break , with Dp, Zlatan, Nedved all running unchallenged towards Roma's goal , very late in the first half, instead of Appiah to play the ball forward and these guys would have been completely free, he sliced the ball horribly to a Roma player, and they almost scored from it with Buffon having to make a wonderful save 6.5

Emersdon absolutely superb, he was not in the game initailly and we were dominated as soon as he stamped his authority we just completely dominated, he is our catalyst and we totally need him more than anyother in this team. Wouldn't it be lovely to get the pit bull from Inter to pair with him and make a superb midfield ( well can dream can't i) 7.5

Nedved did very little for me and didnt see much of him not even his perenial staying on the floor for 3 minutes 5

Dp scored a good goal and some nice touches but I am surprised (well not really) to see papers giving him 7, he has played much better without scoring and they give him 5.5, he was not that good and i do wish he can get himself involved more and not just isolate himself from Zlatan like he did yesterday. Take ppl on man, unlike Camo, you are good at it. His goal is what I always expect from him, stay near the edge of the box during corner kicks and not in the box as you will never score from headers, you are too short for that and you have the best accuracy by a mile in this team 6

Zlatan probably the best game he has played in a while as he was less selfish and played more for the team than he susally does 6.5

Zalayeta came on and too be fair was his typer of game, in the rain, bruising up players like Ferrari and Mexes who are used to slick forwards not bruising ones and took his goal well even if Ferrari ought to be flogged 6

Pessoto and Kapo well didnt have time to impress even if Kapo came on for 5 mins and miscontrolled twice in that small space of time

Unbreakable

No team appears able to stop Juventus this season. Whether its Bayern Munich, Ajax, or today’s opponents AS Roma, Fabio Capello’s side always get the job done with an impressive ease. Goals by Alessandro Del Piero and Marcelo Zalayeta were enough to down the disappointing Giallorossi.

forza juve

I thought Nicole will be entertaining us bout "its" views on Roma, and how Totti's nostrils were enlarged, but this topic will be kinda boring without Nicole showing "its" response.

Ancelotti is now worried that Juve are a tougher side than he thought
This coach's stupidity is funny, I hope we crush Milan also

A Great vicroty!! tough game, but we made it! GRANDE JUVE!
The match's highlights were when DP Scored 1-0, i screamed and went crazy :p And when Cannavaro put two fingers up in Tottis nose, to show im that we will win with 2-0. Payback from last years sssssschhh, 4-0 - from Totti..

HAHah simply great, I laughed in like 3 minutes!

Actually, I thought we had pretty clearly won midfield throughout the match, as expected. (But with De Rossi and Dacourt both out, I don't think we should get too cocky about it in the future.) From the beginning, Juve looked the more threatening team -- with the only thing keeping it close was that our few chances were missed wide in finishing.

To their credit, they looked more organized than the team has looked overall lately.

Ferrari always looks lost in a big team and Mexes has not found his feet at all in serieA
IMO, both have been huge disappointments for Roma thus far. Ferrari completely miffed on what led to the Zalayeta goal. And Mexes continued to trot the field, looking for a purpose for being.

Thuram is just a rock in defence and reads dangers superbly and Cannavaro was as impressive as usual, shame about his childish and amateurish sticking his fingers up Totti's nose, thats most uncalled for
Thuram looked like he was in charge and was having fun. I'm still not sure what Canna was trying to do in Totti's sinuses, though!

Dp scored a good goal and some nice touches but I am surprised (well not really) to see papers giving him 7, he has played much better without scoring and they give him 5.5, he was not that good and i do wish he can get himself involved more and not just isolate himself from Zlatan like he did yesterday.
His goal was a great finish on a key timing play. And he finished on the spot where others had previously failed. But I too am not so sure about the 7. More like a 6 or maybe 6.5. This was one of those games where DP showed that he's a multi-dimensional player -- in striking, crossing, and set pieces. Though I thought his passing was a little off.

Zlatan probably the best game he has played in a while as he was less selfish and played more for the team than he susally does 6.5
Zlatan showed great, unselfish play this time. I've criticized him in the past for chesting down balls and doing a lot of footwork in place -- allowing three defenders to gang on him and force him to turnover the ball. But this time, he used that strategy to draw the defense in and poke out a brilliant pass to an open teammate. Great adjustments this match.

Forza Juve! I'm so glad we don't have to wait until April for our first win against a Rome or Milan club like last season. :groan: The team is still playing a lot of tight, razor-thin matches. But as long as we continue to find ways to win them, this season we'll need to dust off a little space on the mantle for some more Scudetto hardware. :D
