Im very happy Del Piero scored, but even happier that I think Zlatan had a great game. I think Roma's biggest mistake - or rather Del Neri's - was his choice of players for this game. I thought Zebina had a terrible game, and thank God for Gigi Buffon. He's superman.

That bastard Cassano, we need Emerson for the next game. He went down easily!

Lol, Canna picked Totti's nose was funny, and did anyone else notice Totti sort of pushed the ball at Ferrara at the sidelines but Ferrara was smiling and said something :D

Unbreakable

No team appears able to stop Juventus this season. Whether its Bayern Munich, Ajax, or today’s opponents AS Roma, Fabio Capello’s side always get the job done with an impressive ease. Goals by Alessandro Del Piero and Marcelo Zalayeta were enough to down the disappointing Giallorossi.

simple great!!!

IMO Capello has build a solid, great and winning team with heart!!!

He made our backline one of the best in the world again (maybe the best) and takes out the best of the players!!!!

As it seems we are also not so depend from Nedved, also Zlatan and Del Piero can make the difference!!! this is just great!!

I hope Zebinas injury is not serious (excellent, nearly everybody described him as a bad defender, but IMO he is doing really great at the right side)!!

forza juve

It was interesting to see the calm and concentration that our players shown against Roma. The team is compact, fast enough and always in control of the game tempos. Our back line is just playing superb, in special the Parma trio (if they keep this shape a good part of the season, we will fly high).

Camo is also recuperated and having a very important rol in the teamplay. Appiah has some bad passing in offensive mode, but he was excellent recuperating balls and pressing in midfield.
And Zlatan is also been very productive with his services, he can become a major force to our team...

Capello is the man....

wow.I'm so amazed of Juve's performance.that game what i call it attractive game.I c the team improves day by day.the defence is very solid.the smartness of midfield, and with the atack trying it's best this team will go further than u r expecting.
buffon: back to his form when he won the MVP award.he has done great job against Roma critical saves that score would change for sureand we could be in trouble.
zebina: I never expected that form from him.he is the zamrotta of right side ;)
zambo:great player but i don't think he showed his worth againt roma.
thuram: like I always praised him I will do it again.I'm glad he is playing at his prefered position and he is doing a better job there.
cannavaro:the legend.his experince and vision
appiah:he is a hard worker that's what i love in him.he runs to ball reminds me the good days of davids
emerson:he showed his real worth against roma.and i like the way to see him involved in AM role too sometimes
nedved:the king, wasn't at his best to against roma but he tried hard that what he does al the time :thumb:
camoranesi:I really don't understand the criticizers here.he is very very important for juventus.and i'm glad that capello saw that too.
del piero: he is doing great job in the abscence of trezegol.I really really hope to see him back to his old days too.
zlatan: still has to show his worth.what i saw about him in juve are all negative. selfishness, not working hard, not a team player.but am sure that's because he didn't adapt to serie a yet.but capello will help him for sure.

zalayeta:what can i say.he did it agaaaaaaaain :D he keeps surprising us.he is a really really good player i'm telling u this for a long time ago.most importantly he is a team nplayer, a very hard worker.a well dribler.did u see the goal :D and he brought the exitement to the game when he entered.

capello:a real genius.i'm starting to see the beautifull game, he created in roma's team the previous season , in juve.1 thing i love that u can see all the players has big roles not like we used to play,in past u could see the players waiting their role and the ball to come to them so they play, but now players are fast playing team football players are not playing in one position but in variable positions.capello is the best thing happened to juve lately.
collina: he did manage a good game (not because we won :D) but the last card for emerson, that was rediculus.
FORZA JUVEEE

lol Roma used the 3-4-1-2 formation........and switched to 4-3-1-2 later.
And they played even worse IMO.

Ferrera collected the ball and passed the ball to Totti with a smile in his face, but then Totti pushes the ball to him with a look of hatred.

Canna: 2 goals up u nostrils baby !!!!! I know that Canna never said this, but this is my own version of wad Canna said to Totti.

Totti this is the day which u will pay for showing ur 4 fingers to Tudor last time!

Zebina: "It’s been a fight"

“I don’t know whether it’s been a spectacular game but winning was the aim. And it’s been a fight.” Jonathan Zebina has played a vigorous match, pushing on the flank and covering in defence, playing very hard. In the second half, the Frenchman was forced to get out by a muscle injury, a suspect strain to his left adductor. His condition will be analysed in the next 48 hours. Until then, Jonathan is enjoying such a brilliant and deserved win and the lead in the standings that seems to be more and more solid: “We knew we were in a good condition and took advantage of that, playing with humility and taking home three points against a top team. Roma is the first top club we’ve met in the championship so far and we’ve proved we can win over small teams, as well as top ones.”

Camoranesi: "Three hard-earned points"

“To win the game hasn’t been easy at all . Roma was fielded in a way that made it quite hard to find open spaces.”
Mauro Camoranesi underlines the importance of the victory over AS Roma, which, especially in the first part of the game, was tight in defence: “They played with seven defending midfielders and it’s been hard to tie the break. Thankfully, Alex did so with a great goal. Roma is still an excellent team and when the three forwards aim at the net, that make your legs tremble. We’ve succeeded in holding the advantage and closing the match. We wanted to maintain the lead of the standing with a five point advantage and we’ve managed to do so. However, we cannot talk about of a breakaway or teams cut off from the race to the title. It’s still too soon.”

Emerson’s comment

The only hard line in Emerson’s night, along with a usual good performance, has been his expulsion for double yellow card that the Brazilian comments: ‘I always try to be correct and professional. Unfortunately it went like this, I’m sorry I will miss the next game’. Ranking, though, is a reason to be happy for (‘We have to go on this way’), as well as Zalyeta’s goal: “I’m very happy for him, he’s a hard working guy and when he plays he’s always on target.”

Capello’s satisfaction

Fabio Capello comments the 2-0 against Roma: “I’m satisfied with the team’s performance, that suffered early in the match, but subsequent Nedved’s change of position has been decisive, and Buffon’s save close to the end of the first half has been even more. From that moment on we left almost nothing to our opponents”. He’s asked if Roma, with this defeat, could be called out of the championship’s race: ‘It’s a team playing a good football, championship is long for everybody’. Already thinking about Chievo? ‘It’ll be a tough match where turnover will be needed, also because of Emerson’s suspension’. Finally on Zebina: ‘He has a problem with his left adductor, he’s apparently recovering, we’ll see in the next few days’.

Masterful Juventus!

In a show of strength, Juventus dominates the game at the Delle Alpi and wins a deserved 2-0 against AS Roma. Under a downpour, goals by Del Piero and Zalayeta

Fabio Capello fields the same roster who played a definitely good match against Siena five days ago. The first twenty minutes are lively but lack in scoring occasions. Ibrahimovic is well assisted by Del Piero on the 4’ but Zotti clears. Two minutes later Roma hits back with Montella, intercepted by Buffon. After 13 minutes into the first half, Nedved crosses for Ibrahimovic who shoots wide over the crossbar and on the 23’ a fine conclusion by Camoranesi finishes over the bar. Juventus’s supremacy rises and Capello’s squad becomes more dangerous after 30 minutes with a free kick by Nedved, diverted into the corner and later, after a corner shot by the Czech, with a header by Emerson wide of the target. The deserved winning goal comes on the 31’, sealed by Del Piero.
Served by Camoranesi, the captain fires a fine right-footed shot from the edge of the box that the Giallorossi’s goalkeeper just can’t keep (1-0). Roma tries to treact with a couple of attempts by Totti but it’s still the Bianconeri who come close to double their lead on the 40’ when Ibrahimovic nods in past Zotti. The action is adjuged irregular by Collina who nullifies the goal. In the dying moments of the half, Buffon blocks a right-footed shot by Montella and a dangerous free kick by Totti is just wide of the post.

The second half kicks off with a substitution by Roma, with Mancini replacing Sartor. The Giallorossi’s defence is soon threatened by Camoranesi who gets into the box and Collina lets it go when the Argentine-born is closed by two defenders. Then it’s Del Piero’s turn to go for the goal on a free kick but Zotti saves. Capello replaces the injured Zebina with Pessotto and later on Del Piero with Zalayeta. The Uruguayan, who, like the captain, is in a great condition, makes an impressive entrance by scoring within 2 minutes. His applause-worthy action is set up also thanks to Ibrahimovic’s pass into the goal area, when Zalayeta gets rid of two defenders and beats Zotti (2-0). The Giallorossi try to hit back with Totti and Montella, in vain. In the last few minutes, the Bianconeri remain 10 due to the sending off of Emerson for two bookable fouls; however, the homeside is still in control of the game and helds for the win.

zlatan: still has to show his worth.what i saw about him in juve are all negative.
Ermm all negative? He had a brilliant touch to get the ball to Camoranesi to assist for DP's goal, and he did well in not playing selfishly to assist Zalayeta. It looked at first like he wanted to shoot, but he looked up and saw that Zala was in a good position. I think it was a good performance by him. He even scored a nice header that was disallowed

Zlatan performed better compared to previous matches. I think he has learnt not to be selfish and even pass the ball the Camo + Zala. Well I hope that Zlatan has adapted to this playing style and be a good assist.

Did you notice that Zlatan is rarely runs on the field?
He just stands, get the ball and dribble around, but he rarely runs.
He is tall, if he runs, logically it will be very fast.

are you guys loco? I've always noticed Zlatan's selfishness etc and that always made me uncomfortable, but after the Roma game all I could think about was sending him a 'thank you' card, he was wonderful
