Wonderful pass by Miccoli to Nedved in the penalty area! The Czech makes a delightful cross on Del Piero's head but it bounces on the cross bar!!!!

Important win 2nite. ;)

Now we again can win Scudetto.

As Pippo Inzaghi said, JUVE won the championship even when was 12 points behind.

Did you watch game? Juventus dominated throughout, and should have been 2 - 0 if the Ref didnt screw up. DP hit the ball with his head, it looked like his hand, and he was stolen from a magnificent goal. Regginna had trouble even getting the ball in our half of the field. Give me a break a poor performance. Our defese was solid, with a maximum of two slip ups that are NORMAL for any team. This was a classic Juventus game, doing just enough to win. In fact this victory looks more satisfying than a 4 -2 victory where we concede more goals. Juventus are back on track and good news that DP is getting some good games going.

1-0, not the score we expected - but 3 pts is 3 pts especially when both our title rivals dropped 2 a piece! :D
The gap needs closing even more and in time, may well do; but Lippi really needs to wake up and smell that coffee.
There's too much talent going to waste on the Juve bench, Miccoli's performance today wasn't up to scratch to what we have seen from him in the past but it was still a showing that injected our offence. Enzo Maresca is yet another who is starved of the same role, his contribution tonight was self-explanatory.
Anyway, the only way is up and hopefully we can follow this trait next week..Forza Juve! ;)

Men of the match - maresca and del piero.

maresca was the energy in the middle, always running forward, often further then nedved up the pitch. he played 120 mins against inter so he was going to be subbed, but shouldnt have been subbed as early as he was. lippi should have given him 10 mins more.

what i liked was when he scored he ran through everyone celebrating, everyone was clearly happy he scored, and he was pointing to ferrara. seems as though the old man is being a good role model.

when he was subbed there were quite alot of whistles at the decision from the crowd. MARESCA - A FANS FAVOURITE!

del piero really did play well. ran past players many times. hit the bar 3 times i think. the last time was amazing, so unlucky to hit the bar. should have been awarded a goal. had good discipline to take that yellow.

miccoli was also good when he came on. hes so energetic you can just see it on the pitch even when he hasnt got the ball. he should get first team football soon or this season will be pretty pointless, same for maresca.

everyone else was solid. amazing save by buffon. thuram did good in the centre[wise choice lippi] and legro had a decent game. a small mix up but what can you expect from the 2 central defs first game together. surprised by pessoto, he got forward a lot and was good. conte and tachinardi were quiet. nedved looked fustrated. di vaio shouldve made more.

but im happy with the result. a solid performance; reminds me of how we used to play a couple of seasons ago. 1-0!!

Overall... good game today... our defence looked solid most of the time.. and the few errors we commited...came from thuram..who had a not so good night today.

Legro did another solid night like the one agaist inter (apart form the error in the adriano´s).

IN the attack,,,nedved tried but nothing out of the ordinary...he had some shots on goal, but easily saved by the reginna´s keeper who was very accurated today.

Our best man on the field was undoubtely Del Piero, who had a good average first half,.. but improved in the second... very bad for him: 3 posts and a nullified goal!!. Good game for DP
Hey...about the hand goal.. im still not sure if it was legal or not... in one angle i see his hand touching the ball..but in another,,, it sems like he is legally hitting it with his head.

Buffon did some interventions..but the save in the man to man with Cozza was priceless.

Di Vaio had a bad day, just one dangerous shot which ended in maresca´s goal.. Miccoli did pretty good with some shots on goal.

Maresca scored our winning goal....and did some good moves but wasted some balls too.

In general, we dominated the whole game...and this victory was crucial for our ambitions..

now with 13 games to go and 6 points behind milan,, we still have some chances.
