Well IMO this goal was 80% pure luck, it was beautifull one, one of the rare ones,
perfectly executed by Almiron(the exact word for "salty" in Greek
)
Buffon has many excuses, it was only the first shoot in the second minute
by a maybe not so famous and unknown to him executioner,
but its Buffon's fault that he used to us with this feeling of safeness when he is under the posts, an on form Buffon always somehow manage to guess those balls,he could feel them,Buffon and many other keepers defended much more dif than this, a 20m FK has usualy a low ball speed(unless R.Carlos kicks it) and is usualy predictable(unless its deflected), i havent watched any replays than the ones during the game, but the course of the ball seemed to be predictable(direct without curving and high) from the start till the very end,i was waiting for it to end up there and the fact Gigi almost got that make me believe he felt that too,he was only a few milisecs late,maybe it was a bad start,or he was half step away, IMO he sould def pick up a position to be there,
i cant tell for sure thought,i will try to see more replays with alternative cameras,
it was a brilliant execution, i dont blame Buffon for it, Abbiati would never have cought it, but i believe Buffon at his best could...
