IMO Moggi should buy us two new centre backs and play them from start against Chievo, so that they get a feel of the team and somewhat learn to play together for the Roma match.
Sorry but this is the craziest I've heard as a solution to our problems. We're really starting to sound desperate.

another draw.1-1.

i really hope lippi does something drastic this time round.even to the extent of messing everything up.it could really spark off a extraordinary turnaround.

After the Empoli match the team got 2-days off to recharge their batteries and be ready for the Chievo match.

I still can't believe we didn't close-on on Roma, Juve of the past would swat Empoli easily. :groan:

    Here's what I would play:

    (4-2-3-1)
    Buffon
    Pesso Thuram Legro Zambro
    Conte Tacchi
    Micco Neddy Alex
    Trezeguet

    or

    Buffon
    Thuram Legro Montero
    Pessotto Conte Tacchi Zambro
    Neddy
    Treze ADP

    when we're attacking it's a 3-4-1-2, and when defending it's a 5- 2-1-2.

so...alex on the bench then ;)

    :D

i'd like to see maresca play.....rest conte's old legs :p
Nah, DP was ok against Empoli, and remember, Miccoli played on the right when he came on, and he was very effective imo, so I would give him another shot there and keep Ale in the starting line-up.

After Micco's introduction 4-2-3-1 was the formation, with Fabrizio, Nedved and Di Vaio behind Trez. I say we keep that same shape, but with Del Piero in DV's place.

From here on in we're going to have to do things Real Madrid style: just score more goals than the opposition. I predict another thrilling encounter; 4-2 to Juve.

yeah, i predict a high scoring exciting game packed with action from all corners. I especially like the idea of having thuram and legro as cb with zamboy and pessoto as fbs. and im liking the idea of replacing camo with miccoli in the right.

unfortunately I think Chievo's attacking midfielders and strikers are very much capable of outpacing us. Remember how Santana put Thuram to shame? They're always a hard team to beat, but we always have beaten them, do not let the tradition stop :)

I agree with your line up and formation.

I start to doubt Lippi's judgement in selecting and substituting players. When DP strugled for form after injury, Lippi kept on starting him and was always too late to bring in Miccoli or Di Vaio. But when DP started to perform well, Lippi kept on taking him out when others sch as Trez (except the Empoli match)should be replaced. The latest match is very obvious. Even an amateur coach should've realized that it was not Camo's day as he often lost the balls and made terrible passes. If I was the coach, I would replace Camo with Micco right from the start of the 2nd half. It took Lippi 25 mins to realize that the team needed correction, and in stead of taking Camo out, he took DP out. Not mention the players he chose for the defence. I really don't know what the man's had in his mind lately.
