Party time at Delle Alpi!

The great celebration day for the Bianconeri ‘s 28th Scudetto has finally come. Delle Alpi is brimful and completely black&white. Italy’s Champions is the banner that dominates the Curva. At last, after celebrating on Friday night and Sunday at Livorno, Juventus fans can celebrate at home with their champions. Banners, flags and chants symbolize their enthusiasm, pride and great passion. The celebrating stadium pays its due tribute to the Heysel victims on the day of the tragedy’s twentieth anniversary.

Spectacular game is guaranteed as Juventus want to greet their fans showing them some of the pearls that led them to conquer the title, on the very centenary year of their first Scudetto. Capello fields the trident attack Del Piero-Ibrahimovic-Trezeguet with Nedved behind. The Czech kicks off with a shot from the distance that ends up beyond the bottom line (10’). Then it’s Ibrahimovic who attempts on goal three times, first with a header, saved (13’), then from the edge of the box, but it ends out (14’) and finally from the left flank of the opponents’ side, and the ball ends past the post (35’). A fine personal action by Del Piero on 32’ minutes, but the final shot is eventually cleared. Minutes pass and Juventus keep looking for the advantage, finally achieved with a great goal by Del Piero on 43’ minutes: Ibrahimovic serves the captain, who gets into the box, dribbles two opponents and kicks it in (1-0).

The Bianconeri give more emotional moments to a celebrating Delle Alpi. While supporters shout one by one the names of Scudetto 28’s protagonists, from Capello to players, the second, third and fourth goals make their way. Trezeguet scores from a few metres’ distance after the goalkeeper had cleared Ibrahimovic’s shot (6’). Appiah scores with a great right-footed shot after a fantastic action where he gets into the box and skips past two opponents (12’). It’s still Trezeguet on goal, this time nodding in Camoranesi’s shot from the corner (28’). On 26’ minutes, Zola scores the first of the two goals for Cagliari, the second of which scored by himself on 42’ minutes. On 12’ minutes into the second half, Mutu finally gets back on the pitch, back to play and he’s very warmly greeted by the bianconeri supporters. They chant until the end, when the President of the Lega Calcio Adriano Galliani hands the Scudetto Cup to the winners. Great Juventus, Italy’s Champions. And celebrations go on...
