Aha

And what happens if the linesman called the offside BEFORE Chiellini scored the owngoal?
Does it matter at all or only the main ref's whistle is what counts?

Because if the main ref saw the offside flag and whistled before or at the moment Chiellini scored the owngoal, then it's not a dubious situation because the action was rightfully stopped.
But i think the main ref whistled after Chiellini scored so it's indeed complicated.

Bologna players didn't complain too much about this particular call against them. They did complain for the penalty appeals though, and one of the penalty appeals should have been given, imo.
It is the main ref that counts but the main ref might not see the linesman holding up his flag. It's up to him to keep his flag up until the main ref sees him. Often if a goal is scored and the flag is up and the main man doesn't see it until after the ball goes in, some consultation will happen. The main ref goes to the line and asks for explanations.

Positives in the first half.

Zebina- This could finally be the year where we see what a healthy Zebina can do in a formation that plays to his strengths.

Trez- The goal aside, he has been very active in this match, and his positioning has gotten better and better with each week.

Chiellini- Has had some crucial clearances and tackles in the first half. Pretty goal he scored as well. Too bad it was an own goal and it was incorrectly ruled offside.

Negatives

Molinaro- Not only has he managed to kill a couple of seagulls with his crosses (Seriously, when they cross ends up being off-camera, you know its bad), but Bologna have finally started to press down that flank, and a sub might be needed.

Amauri- Its one thing to work your tail off and just be unlucky, but it's another to not even try, and it seems like he is not even trying at this point. I give him another 15 minutes to grab a goal. I don't care if it is a PK, or a stroke of luck, but he needs a goal.

The ref was probably told about his mistakes (and now Di Vaio is telling him that again) and i guess a penalty will be given for them at the first contact in our box. :scared:

We're playing high balls inside their box, but their defenders are tall and we can't do shit.
We must keep it on the ground, like Zebina did for the goal.

I'm of the impression that Molinaro just does his crosses just to show that he actually does something on the pitch.

And as soon as I say that, he has a fine dispossesion of the ball
