Molinaro hands the ball in our box. For the second time he risked giving them a penalty.
    Take him off.

They scored but it was disallowed for offside.
Pheww, lucky again. It was an offside, though so it's a good call.

It wasn't an offside because Chiellini tapped it in the goal before reaching the player that was in offside position.

Bologna score a legal goal ruled for offside. It was Chiellini that scored an own goal.
You know better, you're referying afterall. :)

But Chiellini wasn't gonna score an owngoal if he wasn't under pressure by the player who was offside when the cross came.
Doesn't that make it a good call?

That was a borderline offside call at worst. A terrible call to tell you the truth. Bologna has every right to feel that there is a conpsiracy theory going on right now

Anyway, the ref and Juve will get a lot of stick (Mourinho :scared:)

First there were two situations where a penalty would have been given if it was in Juve's favor and in the end Chiellini's owngoal was disallowed for offside.

This is too complicated. For me a defender should work the offside and clear the ball. Chiellini in this case did half his job, he put a player in offside position but he tapped the ball in.

Speaking for myself, I'm very concerned with these stretches of playing like a Lega Pro side on the defensive side of the ball. Cannavaro needs to come back, and soon.

They will get killed by Bayern if this keeps up

    Aha

And what happens if the linesman called the offside BEFORE Chiellini scored the owngoal?
Does it matter at all or only the main ref's whistle is what counts?

Because if the main ref saw the offside flag and whistled before or at the moment Chiellini scored the owngoal, then it's not a dubious situation because the action was rightfully stopped.
But i think the main ref whistled after Chiellini scored so it's indeed complicated.

Bologna players didn't complain too much about this particular call against them. They did complain for the penalty appeals though, and one of the penalty appeals should have been given, imo.

I agree, the defensive line without Cannavaro looks like a Serie B defensive line.
