I don't think that starting Nedved is sensible. He took a real beating against Ajax on Wednesday, and we have a bigger test than the Atalanta game this coming Wednesday away to Sampdoria. We're gonna need Neddy in midweek.

    Hehe :D

Btw, the latest is that Del Piero won't start tomorrow.

    Buffon
    Zebina Thuram Cannavaro Zambrotta
    Olivera Tacchinardi Emerson Nedved
    Trezeguet Ibrahimovic
now that is the attacking partnership i want to see.. :thumb:

in fact i want to vote this to be our regular starting line up through out the season.....

Hmm, I was pretty sure Cannavaro and Nedved would be rested as well.

I dunno about Cannavaro, but I would definitely have rested Neddy.

Don't forget we play Palermo next Saturday night, 3 games in 6 days, then another the following Tuesday.
After Palermo it's Maccabi in the CL, right?

I have mixed views about resting players, I don't want them to burn out too early but I want to see the best team available play.
    Same here.

I wouldn't mind resting Cannavaro as well. I'd like to see what Tudor can do after his great performance for Croatia against Sweden.
Canna needs to learn the routine IMO, so I'd rather rest Thuram if we have to rest someone... And Neddy should definitely rest, and maybe Emerson too...

Very true, but Thuram seems to be in amazing form. I don't want to spoil it :).

Actually, Cannavaro stated many times (first one was during his official presentation) that he doesn't feel pain anymore. Hopefully it's true.

And about the mid-week matches...don't forget there are 20 teams in Serie A this year so that means 4 more matches per year.
