I don't know about you guys, but I think the most important decision that Conte has to make on his starting XI is who partners Chiellini. I actually think I would go for Barzagli over Bonucci. I would make Bonucci earn his place as his pre-season form was truly shocking. A lot depends on form. If Conte insists on his 442, I would go for Buffon-Lichsteiner-Barzagli-Chiellini-De Ceglie-Krasic-Vidal-Pirlo-Elia-Vucinic-Matri/Quags.

Matri versus Quags should depend on Quags form. I sense he may not be 100% just yet.

If we play Vucinic I rather see us play with Matri than Quag as Matri is more of a goalscorrer
But as you said it depends on Quag`s form as when Quag is on form the duo of Vucinic and Quag could bring us some great football

I have a feeling we will struggle this season.

Sides will beat us in the middle of the park since Pirlo can't defend and our wingers are encouraged to stay forward as much as possible.

I see Conte using Vidal and Marchisio/Pazienza most of the time and maybe even asking for another CM in January to help shore up the MF and protect the Defence.

I hope im wrong and our pressing attacks and use of width frustrate our opponents allowing us to control the game.

If we do that then Pirlo maybe very useful in a 2 man MF.
