It is possible to take a balanced approach to these things.

Just keep an extra player (a midfielder of a wingback) behind the ball compared to what you would do when at 0-0.

There's no need to go chasing things and taking risks once your ahead.
Especially when you have dropped a 1 goal lead the week before, through leaving players high up the field.

It's true in that Conte does like to leave the game a lot more open than I'd like when we are leading.

Individual errors are going to happen, but these are tactical issues that come up again and again because Juve take more risks than they need to when ahead.

The opposition is going to attack, but that doesn't mean you have to let them out-number you like happened today.

I don't doubt the Juve players, for the most part, are doing what Conte asks of them.

Conte is just more willing to leave a game open when winning than I would be.
You put unnecessary emphasis on the out-number issue. It only counts if the opposition is passing around a lot but even in those situations the most important things are the accuracy of the guy on the ball and the guy against him. Regardless of the number of opponents the attack depends on the one ball, equal numbers don't mean shit if the key defender fucks up.

Gio has been terrible for the few games , his final ball is always cut off by defenders.
Too bad we ain't got options on the bench otherwise he would not be starting.
Our attack have to buck up, hopefully Vuci starts hitting his form.

chiello is coming back for celtic like terminator so we had nothing to worry about defense, we need goalscorers! or maybe just moments of magic like last night can save our ass.

Only thing that worried me bout last nights game was the frustrated faces on our players faces when a miss placed pass or wrong decision was made. They at times were moaning at one another. Something we haven't been used to.

Chiellini won't be back for the Celtic game.

He's expected to make his return after the Siena game.
