Poulsen has a far bigger positional sense, tactical awareness and passing ability than Sissoko, which makes him capable of playing as a CB in urgent situations like these. Sissoko partnering Leonardo would be an outrageous decision by Del Neri, which I'm nearly 100% sure he won't make.
