It's not pretty at the moment but you can hardly cry disaster. It shouldn't come as any surprise that our play has no coherence to it. A new combination of players learning to play with one another under a drastically different system. That's what we're watching at the moment and I expect it to continue for at least another month. Maybe we will never properly take to Sarri's ideas but for 6 weeks or so the players and Sarri deserve the benefit of the doubt.

I liked what Dybala, Ramsey and Ronny were trying to do. They attempted to link up a few times but it never quite came off. The main thing is that we know they're extremely capable of achieving it given enough time together. You could already see that we were looking for ways through the middle a lot more than usual.

The defense is the most worrying part. Sarri addressed it in his press conference - this problem of leaving an acre of space on the wing as we press up. Once the press is broken they're out on the wing all the way up to goal as Danilo or Alex Sandro scramble to make up ground. I don't know how Sarri plans to resolve that issue but it's encouraging that he recognises the problem.

2015-16 Season:

First seven rounds we conceded goals to: Udinese (first game, we lost 0-1), Roma (2-1, another loss lol), Chievo (1-1), Frosinone (1-1), Napoli (2-1, another loss)...couple rounds later we lost to Sassuolo.

Seriously, after winning the league the year before we lost 4 games in the first 10 rounds including 3 draws(Udinese, Roma, Napoli, & Sassuolo while drawing to Chievo & Frosinone)

We really struck out early that season and people are shitting themselves because we aren't winning matches 4-0 yet with a new coach and basically brand new backline.

Also that year we went out to Bayern in R16. LuL
Pointed out recently in Sarri thread that same people wanted Allegri's head already in September of that season. Also mentioned it back during the meltdown in Pep's threads.

They get mad everytime I being it up bc they have no answer to this lol.

Mostly the same people also complained at the start of other Allegri seasons too up till Nov and sometimes Jan. By the time they realized he was good, he wasn't good anymore and it was time to part ways.

Oh and also the same people ofc also complained incessantly like now when Max was appointed.

Stop lying. The people who wanted Allegri gone are the same people who can’t see no wrong in Sarri, because he plays “beatiful football”.

If Allegri served up these performances in his first 5 games you would have wanted his head on a plate.
If that hapenned after being with Juve for 5 seasons, yes, but every coach in his first season needs time to implement his ideas, and its even worse with our coach, he is an attacking minded coach, with ball-possrsion ideas and its something completely strange to Juventus. On top of that, he has been given a team with players that do not really suit his strategies, primarily in midfield. Lets not talk about our full back positions and how we lost our best defender at the start of the season and he has to be rrplaced by a 19 year old CB.

I agree. Rabiot and Ramsey are closer to what Sarri wants in midfield. De Ligt is too young to lead the defensive line. You also forgot that we lost a really good attacking fullback in Cancelo and replaced him with mediocre Danilo.

With this team with Sarri at helm I would play this:

CR7 - Dybala - Costa
Rabiot - Pjanic - Ramsey
AS - De Ligt - Bonucci - Cuadrado
Szczesny

Yeah.. Why not letting Rabiot some game time and we can integrate Ramsey as well... Its funny that 2 out of our best 3 midfielders are not even playing despite not being injured.
I didnt expect them to start right away but after 4 games I do expect them to play more..

Ramsey, as SOON as he was healthy, got subbed in, then got a start.

Rabiot is another matter, he genuinely doesnt seem to be ready to play yet, either physically, mentally, or not listening/performing well enough in training. Whatever it is, he needs to get going.

To be honest, none of the big teams in Europe are playing good. Barca, Real, Liverpool, they are all struggling at the start of the season.
Besides their undeserved loss against Napoli, how exactly have Liverpool been “struggling” this season? They’ve won every game in their domestic schedule so far, looks like they haven’t missed a beat from last season. Even Real Madrid have started winning again in the league now.

And then how can one find sympathy on our situation if we don't enhance the problems of other teams?

Wouldn't say it was undeserved though. Agreed on the rest.
