A trophy winning team will win this type of game by 3 or 4 and would win 1-0 when dominated by better teams. A key to that level of success is a clinical finisher. David is not there yet but Vlahovic off the bench is working well. We need a backup for Yildiz though, maybe Adzic can step up but Sancho is not that guy. Good start, let's see how we do when the opposition comes looking for a win.

Deserved win, but also, luck was on our side yesterday. If David didn't fuck up his chance or if the Parma defender hadn't cleared the ball for a corner kick, VAR would have disallowed the goal for Kelly's offside, or Suzuki would have saved the shot and the game would have continued.
But we got the corner kick so VAR couldn't step in, and 20 seconds later we scored.

I think if this game showed anything, it's we'll be struggling to get a top four finish once again. It's the same rigid game plan I've seen last year too:
Chico remains too isolated and isn't a threat in front of goal, no inverting or overlapping wingbacks make us very predictable. Locatelli is too slow and takes too many touches, David really isn't a world beater. This side would be better off with a striker that can hold the ball like KM. Kelly remains error prone and a liability when it comes to passing out the ball. Gatti making runs towards the opponent box also makes zero sense to me.

Luck was on our side? We had two screamers blocked by our own players... Its true what you say about the David goal but this is football. It goes for and against us.
We won because we deserved to win, look at the no` of shots (even if I hear my country`s commentator talking about not reflecting, I say it is very reflecting)
We did everything we need to do in order to win, we pumped balls into the area, we tried short pass combinations, long shots..

At HT the score was 0-0 but I was extremely confident it would change in the 2nd.
At the second we increased our pace which made us even better.

The first goal you can consider it lucky through the events but overall we didnt win because of luck..

Yeah, that's why I said that it's a deserved win.

If David's parents didn't screw 25 years ago, he wouldn't have scored the goal last night.

Not even close for an analogy. The linesman should have raised the flag for offside. He didn't because of VAR. In the opposite scenario we'd have complained about the offside preceding the goal.
Everything went our way in that particular episode. Hence, we were lucky there, at the right moment of the match.
You rarely celebrate your team not scoring a goal, but in yesterday's case we should be happy that David didn't score that shot.

he looked pretty moved while standing in front of the curva.
I think he moved himself in the same position as Dybala and Chiesa. They didnt want to leave mot neither did they want to reduce their demands and in the end regretted it cause they didnt get a new contract.

Other than that i fell asleep in the first half and only saw Vlahovics finish and the last 10 min ....

Yildiz only 7 and Cambiaso at 5. Why have a range of 0-10 if 5-7 are the only numbers you’re gonna use.
Serie A match reports mentioning players rated a 4 by La Gazzetta dello Sport include:
  • AS Roma vs AC Milan (May 2025): Santiago Gimenez was rated 4 after getting a red card early in the match, being described as the worst player on the pitch and causing trouble for Milan with his dismissal.milanreports
  • AC Milan vs Cremonese (August 2025): Santiago Gimenez again received a 4.5 rating, described as the worst on the field for the Rossoneri after a disappointing performance despite some involvement in attacking plays.milanreports
These reports highlight instances where a rating of 4 or slightly above was given to players identified as notably underperforming in their Serie A matches, usually linked to critical mistakes or poor influence on the game.sempremilan+2

As a rule, the base score is from 5-7

I'm not a journalist for this damn newspaper.

if a player plays badly, he gets 3 2 1
if it's very good, maybe 9-10
