Well, this match reminded me a little of the Portugal-Azerbaijan match I saw earlier this month. We need to work on finishing still.
Finishing wasnt that bad tbh. Sorrentino was on Spiderman mode.

That would be nice :D But seriously, we have to lose at some time. We don't even know how this team will react to that.

There is always a danger of over-rotating, with CL and so many players. I don't see that so far, but last year a great strength of the team was virtually playing the same players every week, as we had no injuries. So whilst we became tired and ran out of stamina in some of those games we were very cohesive.
Well we lost to Napoli and then destroyed them on our next meeting :D

Didn't the like the performance overall, i think it got to do with the rotation, our possession games loses so much of it's smoothness with Pirlo out. I always thought we should play the 4-3-3 against weeker opposition, no need to play 3 at the back when there's no threat at all from the other team.
Happy with the 3 points and the fact that we rested many key players.

Good performance, all things considered.

Team wasn't as smooth as it sometimes is, but that was to be expected with Pirlo not playing and there being players in the team who aren't used to the system yet.

Like many of last season's home games, the game wasn't finished as early as it should have been.

Juve were able to up the tempo for a quick burst to win the game without too much fuss, though.

Thought the back three were very good, even if they didn't have much real defending to do. Remained concentrated and aggressive throughout and did a good job of winning balls back very quickly to make it hard for Chievo to get anywhere.

Would be rather handy for Juve if Quagliarella could find some form. Makes life so much easier if you have at least one striker consistently scoring at any given time.

Decent showing from Pogba. Plenty of mistakes, but clearly he's a kid with a lot of potential. Hopefully Conte won't be shy about resting Pirlo, when he needs it, and throwing Pogba in.

I wonder how did "you know who" feel when we played with 5 CM's for about 20 minutes. :D
And two SS.

Bonucci deserves to be in the Man of the match list much more than lucio and chiellini
:agree:

Indeed, Chievo is a piss poor side.
They certainly are.

They seem to be falling into the trap of trying to play in a more open and attacking way than they have in the past, but just ending up being a nothingy side who aren't defensively solid and offer little in attack.
