:agree:

We get embarrassed at home by Roma with the same insipid lineup, tactics, and display we saw against Sampdoria then it should be time up for Max.
You'd give up three games in?

All these transfers, full preseason and his alleged unprecedented authority on transfers and they'll change their mind about Allegri after 3 games?

Nah no matter what he is getting at least until December and as long as we are competing for top 4 he is staying till the end. They wouldn't have backed him up and overhauled the team like this if they thought his grace period is so short. They'd have waited and rebuilt with someone else

The new players have barely kicked the ball together and in the case of Pogba (star signing) and Chiesa they haven't kicked the ball once and wont for some time.

I've got little faith in the guy but now that we've invested we have to wait it out and see what he does with the new folks. We could very well play with no identity and still grind out results and compete

FWIW I think we shouldn't have signed him again, and after last year's disaster season we should have replaced him before the season began. But since we've backed him let's wait and see. My confidence in Agnelli is as low as it gets but sacking Allegri a handful of games into the season when we've just made so many changes to the players would be a new low

It’s not 3 games. It’s 3 games plus a season.

This

We could be shit for 5 seasons + 1 game and some people would still say "It's just 1 game no need to over react!"

Just because the league table resets doesn't mean a damn thing. All evidence points to us carrying on where we left off.

Admittedly we SHOULD look better if one day we can field our best XI players for a stretch of games

who would they even replace Allegri with in this hypothetical scenario anyway? Landucci? Hes been with Allegri forever, how do we know he’s any different?

Max has them playing a new way, has a bunch of new players, and is missing multiple key starters. I’d give it a little more time than a week.

I don't know about any new way of playing its looking the same as last season and towards the end of his previous tenure but I do agree about the absence of alternatives. And generally seeking alternatives takes time and research and contacts it wouldn't happen so quickly in the season.

As for who could replace him if we have a disastrous run till December I imagine it'd be some care taker coach like Ranieri on a temporary basis until the end of the season or they'll chase Zidane again or any big name that suddenly becomes available (if Tuchel is sacked for instance).

In the summer it could be a return to Conte I wouldn't be surprised since management loves living in the past.

When Landucci took over for 2 games last season we scored 8 goals and played the most exciting football of the season. I know it's a fluke but it was fucking hilarious watching us go back to the same shit immediately when Allegri came back.

This is going to be like the most boring match ever. Obviously you can simultaneously do other things besides watching the game.

I'm thinking of grabbing a Kaley Cuoco autobiography and touching myself.

What will you guys do?

Milik ain't scoring anytime soon. He's garbage. I had hope for Arthur and Rabiot, even today they might pull out a performance but not this guy.

No Zaniolo, no party so now is the best time to play them. I don't think we come back if they take the lead and park the bus, we barely create anything.
