Juve fined €40,000 for firework incident



Fiorentina are furious after Juventus were fined 'only’ €40,000 when one of their fans threw a firework at the Viola section of the crowd in Turin.
The serious incident occurred during Saturday night’s 1-1 draw at the Stadio Olimpico and some had called for Juve to play a game behind closed doors.

“An injury and someone nearly blinded are worth €40,000. I guess this is the tariff nowadays,” sniped Fiorentina general manager Sandro Mencucci.

“This is not the way to weaken violence in the stadiums. Juve were penalised when they are not at fault, but the real delinquents got away with it.”

The Disciplinary Commission also banned five Serie A players for the next round. They are Dias Felipe and Gianluca Comotto (Fiorentina), Claudio Marchisio (Juventus), Alessandro Parisi (Bari) and Armin Bacinovic (Palermo).

Perfect isn't the right word but Trez would do better than our current strikers. Dzeko would be fantastic as he would give this team such a boost in terms of quality and quantity in goals
