you know what Del Neri hasnt tested, 4-5-1, i mean think about it,iaquinta and del piero are having a bad run..and he always wants to play aqu-marchi-melo..so why not try this, its not like we haven't felt how it feels having one striker (this is when amauri plays) so, i suggest try this, and especially if pepe can perform like that, and when we still lack a goal, then throw in Del Piero to the rescue

we were clearly the better team, boruc just had to play the game of his life, fiorentina threw everyone back and our strikers just IMO did not cooperate with each other

FUCK FIORENTINA. not only it's annoying that always want to fuck us up but the whole playacting shit really pissed me off. I wish they had a gotten red card much earlier although felipe just came on for a short while before getting sent off

The only reason we looked better when Iaquinta was on was because we were desperate and stretched the pitch more with Pepe's addition. The fact of the matter is, Iaquinta misses too many chances. Doesn't matter how many chances he carves out for himself. He's toothless in front of goal.

Quag didn't do much, sure. He's the sort of player to be good one day, terrible the next. He's not consistent, just like Pepe.
So what is the point you're making with the constant Iaquinta bashing? That we need a new striker and the new striker should replace Iaquinta? I can agree with that, although Amauri would be my first choice to sell.

Or the point is that we shouldn't play Iaquinta at all and play Quag-DP all the time? Or maybe you want to say that tonight Iaquinta shouldn't have played and we should have continued with DP-Quag? You think we were gonna score 2 if Iaq didn't replace DP?

The reality is that our strikers are Del Piero, Quagliarella, Iaquinta and Amauri and as long as we have those four (and one of them is injured for a couple of months) we have to play Iaquinta too, who imo isn't doing worse that DP this year and does better than Amauri.

4-5-1 as in
GK
DEF
Krasic - Melo - Aquilani - Marchisio - Pepe
Ianquinta/Adebayor/Quaggi

it could work
and on a day like today ,when our midfielders were often toothless we will drop the ball deeper to only one striker(tree) instead of two.I prefer two even if they do not score often ,they just give better impression :)

No, we are forced into playing Iaquinta, as horrible as he is. DP looks like he's on the wane now as well. We're going to have a rough time until this position is sorted out. I just don't know who can defend this strikeforce anymore. If this was Amauri who missed that Yak chance, half the forum would be banned for ordering him to be killed.

I'm not sure if I've ever seen a striker that misses so many chances as Iaquinta.

People on here tend to overreact. I bet a lot of you would be talking about the Scudetto if we only managed to score one in the dying minutes.
exactly, they did good today. unlucky in front of the goal.

instead of criticizing be thankful of the attitude that have been shown today against 8 men in the box, last season team would give up immediately after motta own goal

since when we fight back like today's match? since when we have the will, hunger and courage to win?
