Del Piero / Vucinic seems to work fine, yes. But unless Matri is injured, I see no reason to bench him just yet. Hadn't it been for the erroneous decision by the referee against Parma, Matri would've had 2 goals in 2 games now. He has every reason in the world to be confident after these two displays, and I think we should take advantage of this. It's very important that we get Matri going, because he has ONE role in this team, and that's scoring goals. Lack of goals shouldn't hit players like Vucinic and Del Piero that hard, because they have agreed to other roles (Vucinic SS, striker, left flank and Del Piero SS/striker/trequartista). While DP and Vucinic will be judged on several aspects of their play, Matri will almost solely be judged on the amount of goals he scores.

And then we can switch to a 4-3-3 as we have been if our wingers aren't working the way Conte wants them to. And if they are DP and/or Vucinic can come on.

Marchiso and Pepe have run out of credit for their goals against Parma and as for Giac, well the less said, the better. He simply isn't ready to be a starter at this level

That would be my team as well. Would love to see Quag and Matri upfront together in Serie A. I like that we actually have good depth for our striker positions, its a good problem to have.

I hope we thrash these cunts, I want revenge after our 0-2 loss against them last season.

no way he starts elia..and it does make sense..he will probably start krasic and either giacherini or pepe on the left..later in the match he will use elia..

matri will definitely start if fit..beside him i think all the 3 have the same chances..DP/vucinic/quag ..depends on the trainings

good choice on having god start though. it made me sad not having the del piero start today.

Not so much about dropping Matri as it is about wanting Quag to play. But I guess he may not be ready for the start yet. Was thinking Quag-Vucinic but Vucinic really didn't put in the effort today. We may well end up seeing Matri-DP.
