We have gone 19 serie a rounds without keeping a clean sheet. We have 1 clean sheet since the 2nd March. Clean sheets are fundamental because you only need to score 1 goal to win. Amazed that there seems to be this mentality of ‘let’s score 6 goals’

There are different levels to defense, Sarri won the league but we conceded a lot which other teams picked up on hence our loss to Lazio in the Coppa final and Lyon in CL. Not focussing on keeping clean sheets is why Barcelona concede 8 against Bayern, 3 just the other day. Keeping a clean sheet gives you a chance against the elite teams and a shot at trophies.

I’d love to see us score 3-4 goals in most games , but it is shocking to see us go 19 games in the league without a clean sheet. Even in the days of Zaccheroni, Ferrara and Delneri did we not see such awful stats.
